A method for continuous in-situ triglyceride stabilization in FOG (Fats, Oil and Grease) commonly referred to as trap grease. The stabilization is achieved by eliminating hydrolysis and thus preventing the BTU rich triglycerides breaking down into free fatty acids (FFA) or the formation of mono- and diglycerides. A closed loop aeration and recirculation of the FOG ensures sufficient dissolved oxygen not only arresting hydrolysis but also eliminating the formation of hydrogen sulfide. The method furthermore employs the formation and continuing functioning of a biofilm for the microbiological reduction of the FOG's sulfur content. A low FFA/high triglycerides concentration as well as sulfur reduction is highly desirable, allowing for easy biodiesel fuel conversion or bio-gasification. The resulting biofuel does not exhibit the typical hygroscopic property found in B100 biodiesel.

Method of continuous in-situ triglyceride stabilization and sulfur reduction of FOG (fats, oil and grease) to optimize fuel extraction

A system capable of ascertaining, determining, monitoring and controlling the biological state of and metagenomic state of microbial colonies as well as the physical state of waste liquids in grease interceptors, vaults and other waste collecting enclosures. The system consists of an array of cameras () a multi-phased sonar array (), pH in ()/pH out () and delta temperature arrays (), redundant liquid level sensors (), a nutrient measurement array () and dissolved oxygen sensor (). These sensors are mounted inside a grease interceptor () or waste collecting enclosure and enable accurate monitoring and control of all physical and biological processes to enable, optimize and control bioremediation processes. Continuous optimized control algorithms are either generated locally or updated remotely via internet or modem connection. All data is collected, logged in a Control/Telemetry Unit () and can be retrieved either locally or remotely via internet or modem connection.

A bioremediation device for liquid waste includes a medium for forming a microbial film and for exposing the microbial film to an effluent to decompose a first substance in the effluent and to produce a second substance from the decomposition of first substance. An aerator is coupled to the medium to supply the microbial film with oxygen and to accelerate the effluent around the microbial film.
