A plug type connector is provided with chamber block. The chamber block includes a receiving chamber and a recess that intersects with the receiving chamber. The receiving chamber extends a length of the chamber block and includes a contact securing member with a catch. The recess includes an opening into which the catch protrudes into.

An electrical connector is provided with a hinged cover, which is connected in one piece to a connector housing. At least one guide slot is formed in a cover portion of the cover and opens outwards towards a free end of the cover portion. A cable is positioned in the guide slot upon closing the cover, and the guide slot is constricted when the cover is closed so that the cable is fixed inside it. The result is a secure fixing of the cable with low cost in terms of parts and assembly.

A plug connection comprises a first plug having a seal and a second plug configured for fitting in an opening in a partition wall. The second plug is mateable with the first plug such that the seal substantially surrounds the opening in the partition wall. A clamping device is provided on the first plug and is configured for drawing the first plug into engagement with the second plug. The clamping device engages with the second plug at a connection region. The connection region is provided with a sealing member configured to seal the connection region between the clamping device and the second plug.

An electrical and/or optical plug connector having a housing, intended for receiving electrical or optical contacts, and with at least one latching arm, the latching arm being longitudinally divided into two arm portions which can move independently of one another, and in that each of the arm portions has a latching projection which are of different construction, with one arm portion serving to perform secure latching and the other serving to reduce the amount of play.
