An on-board power system for a vehicle includes a first on-board power system branch with a first operating voltage U, a first energy accumulator, and a first electrical consumer; a second on-board power system branch with a second operating voltage Uand a second energy accumulator; and a third on-board power system branch with a third operating voltage Uand a third electrical consumer. The on-board power system also includes a DC/DC converter configured to transmit energy bidirectionally at least between the first on-board power system branch and the second on-board power system branch. The on-board power system also includes a switching device configured to selectively connect the first energy accumulator and the second energy accumulator to one another in series via in such a way that the third operating voltage Ucan be made available by the first operating voltage Uand the second operating voltage Utogether.

A monitoring circuit is provided for an energy storage device. The energy storage device has a plurality of cells which each provide a voltage between their first and second connections and are switched in series. At least two voltage measuring circuits are provided, wherein the voltage measuring circuits each measure the voltage between a first measurement input and a second measurement input. A first connection conductor connects the first terminal of the first cell to the first measurement input of a first voltage measurement circuit. A second connection conductor connects the second terminal of the first cell to the second measurement input of a first voltage measurement circuit. A pressure sensor device is described that has a diaphragm acted upon by a working medium, on a first side, and a sensor chip, which is disposed on a second side of the diaphragm that is remote from the working medium. A capacitive force sensor is introduced between an actuator and motor vehicle brake shoe and is composed of a closed, metallic hollow cylinder that accepts a plate capacitor. One or more end faces of the hollow cylinder act as force-absorbing membranes and transmit elastic deformations onto the plate capacitor, a measured signal being generated as a result. The force sensor can be utilized in a range of measurement of up to, for example, 2.5 tons, a temperature range from -40 through 350.degree. C. and also exhibits extremely high measuring precision.

A sensor for measuring the torque acting on a rotating shaft has two electrode structures which are respectively mechanically coupled to two axially spaced points on the shaft to be measured so that a relative movement between the two electrode structures occurs due to the torque. The electrode structures each have a number of parallel, spaced electrodes and are asymmetrically mounted in a plane so that a number of capacitors are formed by electrode pairs each having an electrode from each electrode structure. Because of the asymmetrical arrangement, the electrodes in a pair are spaced a relatively large distance away from the next closest electrode, so that a capacitive decoupling between the pairs is achieved. Changes in the spacing between the points on the shaft due to torsion of the shaft caused by the torque will change the spacing between the electrodes in each pair, thereby resulting in a total capacitance change which is proportional to the torque. To compensate for the influence of transverse forces or bending moments acting on the shaft, a further capacitor arrangement identical to the first arrangement is arranged at an angle of 180.degree. with respect to the first arrangement, with the capacitance used for the purpose of measurement being the capacitances of the two capacitor arrangements in the series.
