A system implementing a situation-oriented directory for retrieving a stakeholder identification includes a memory storing a relational database corresponding to the situation-oriented directory including a plurality of attribute-value combinations and a plurality of stakeholder identifications, wherein the plurality of attribute-value combinations are mapped to the plurality of stakeholder identifications such that for each attribute-value combination exactly one stakeholder is mapped, and a processor in communication with the memory for receiving a query and retrieving the stakeholder identification from among the plurality of stakeholder identifications based on the attribute-value combinations.

Providing visual structuring of multivariable data sets in records includes: defining a key field for sorting the records; sorting the records by the key field to find patterns; grouping equivalent field values of the key field in an equivalent field value group; forming corresponding blocks for each equivalent field value group, displaying only one field value for each block, and masking all other field values of the block.

A system for visual structuring of multivariable data sets includes a plurality of sensors for monitoring data and generating events depending on the monitoring; an intrusion detection system for receiving the events generated by the sensors; a plurality of agents for performing pattern recognition on the events, wherein the agents determine whether there are events showing patterns relevant for security purposes; and a display device operatively coupled with the intrusion detection system for displaying in tabular form the events with relevant patterns.

Visual structuring of multivariable data sets provided in records which include fields, and are displayed in tabular form. A method comprising: defining a key field; sorting records by defined key field; finding equivalent field values in fields in records arranged adjacent to each other; defining a block for fields having equivalent field values; displaying one field value of fields of a block having equivalent field values and masking all other fields within the block having equivalent field values like the one field value. Facilitating monitoring or analysis of large multivariable data sets provided in records and displayed in tabular form it is proposed to define blocks of fields having equivalent field values and display only one field value of a block. The visual output is useful to identify patterns indicative of an attack. A service provider monitors records provided by a customer and notifies the customer of the attack.
