A method for determining a speed using a measurement-sensor in a vehicle, the measurement-sensor including at least one coil and a ferromagnetic-transmitter-element, including: changing the inductance of the coil, using an inductive-speed-sensor having at least the coil and the ferromagnetic-transmitter-element; recording a change in the coil inductance, and determining the speed based on the changed coil inductance; in which in each case one inductive-speed-sensor is a wheel-speed-sensor for at least two vehicle wheels, and in which a reversal of the direction of movement of the ferromagnetic-transmitter-element as to the coil or a reversal of the direction of travel of the vehicle from forward travel to reverse travel or from reverse travel to forward travel is recognized based on at least one temporal-phase-offset of the temporal-profiles of the inductances recorded by the wheel-speed-sensors of the at least two wheels. Method and device for determining a speed by means of an inductive speed sensor

A method for determining a speed between a measurement-sensor, including at least one coil and a ferromagnetic-transmitter-element (FEM), including: changing the inductance of the coil and the voltage induced therein, in a vehicle using an inductive-speed-sensor having at least the coil and FEM; recording the inductance-change of the coil, and determining the speed based on the changed-inductance; in which the inductance-change is recorded and the speed is determined based on the changed-inductance only until the determined-speed has reached a speed-limit-value (SLV) starting from lower-speeds, in which a voltage-change induced in the coil is recorded and the speed is determined based on the changed-voltage when the determined-speed has exceeded the SLV starting from lower-speeds, and in which an inductance-change is recorded and the speed is determined based on the changed-inductance when the determined-speed has reached/dropped below the SLV starting from higher-speeds. Also described are a related driver assistance system and vehicle.

A method for measuring a coil property, modeled as a parallel-circuit including a capacitance with a series-circuit including a DC-voltage and frequency-dependent resistance, and an inductance and current-voltage converter series connected, by: applying an AC-voltage, having a first-frequency and a DC-voltage component, to the coil and a voltage at the current-voltage converter is captured at a second-frequency, and the impedance and phase-angle at the first-frequency are derived from n-measured values; and applying an AC-voltage, having a third-frequency differing from the first and having a DC-voltage component, to the coil and voltage at the current-voltage converter is captured at the second or fourth-frequencies, in which the impedance and phase-angle at the third-frequency are derived from m-measured values for the DC-voltage resistance.

Method and device for measuring at least one property of a coil, method and device for measuring the position of an actuation member, and motor vehicle

A vehicle brake system device is provided. The vehicle brake system device includes having a signal input apparatus for inputting request signals from a driver of the vehicle which includes a sensor device which gradually detects a degree of operation of a driver-operated operating element between a position which represents non-operation and a position which represents maximum operation, and generates an operating signal which represents this degree of operation. The signal input apparatus also includes an evaluation electronics system into which the sensor device operating signal is introduced for evaluation purposes. In a switched-off state of a vehicle ignition system the sensor device and/or the evaluation electronics system cyclically assume either a standby mode with reduced electrical energy consumption from an electrical energy source in comparison to an operating mode which prevails in the switched-on state of the vehicle ignition system, the reduced energy consumption is an energy consumption level insufficient to ensure operation of the sensor device and/or the evaluation electronics system for detecting and evaluating operation of the operating element as intended, or assume an energy-saving operating mode which ensures operation of the sensor device and/or of the evaluation electronics system to detect and evaluate operation of the operating element.

Vehicle device with power-saving operation of a signal input apparatus

The invention relates to an inductive position measuring device or goniometer having two to no more than five digital oscillators, each of which contains measuring coils or reference coils. Particularly favorable for one application as a transmission sensor is a coil array for three or four oscillators that includes two measuring coils and/or two reference coils. When one plate-shaped measuring element that is sensitive for eddy currents passes through the measuring area, a measuring coil arranged in a planar manner is increasingly covered. One reference coil is arranged such that it does not touch the movement track of the measuring element, but is exposed to the same ambient conditions (temperatures) as the measuring coil. Another reference coil is arranged such that it is covered by the measuring element in the entire measuring area and therefore can compensate the fluctuations in the spacing height between the planar coil array and the measuring element that occur during operation. It is also possible to use additional height reference coils to compensate tilting of the measuring element. Pulse frequencies of the digital oscillator signals are counted asynchronously and subtracted by pairs in a digital evaluation circuit.
