A lighting arrangement comprises a carpet structure and a control unit. The carpet structure includes a carpet back lighting system comprising a carpet back lighting unit having a lighting unit front face and a plurality of light sources. The present invention relates to a method for controlling the illumination system in a temperature controlled environment, and to a control system for a temperature controlled environment having an illumination system. More specifically, the invention relates to a method wherein output of the illumination system causes a temperature response in the temperature controlled environment, the temperature response being detected by a sensor, the method comprising regulating the temperature adaptively based on the output of the illumination system and the associated temperature response. The control system for the temperature controlled environment, having an illumination system, comprises a sensor proximate to a casing of the temperature controlled environment and is adapted to control the illumination system, wherein output of the illumination system causes a temperature response in the temperature controlled environment, the temperature response being detected by the sensor, and the control system is adapted to regulate the temperature adaptively based on the output of the illumination system and the associated temperature response.

Method and apparatus for controlling an illumination system in a temperature controlled environment

The invention provides a carpet back lighting system comprising a carpet back lighting unit having a lighting unit front face and a unit back face, wherein the lighting unit front face comprises a light source, arranged to generate light, and an anti-slip coating. The back lighting system is suitable as back lighting at a carpet unit back side of a light transmissive carpet unit selected from the group consisting a light transmissive carpet and a light transmissive carpet tile.

A light output device comprises a power supply and a plurality of light source device arrangements arranged in a line extending from a power connection, with adjacent light source device arrangements in the line connected together with an electrical connector arrangement. Each light source device arrangement is associated with a control circuit from the plurality of control circuits for providing independent control of the light source device arrangement output based on the control signal. A light output device comprises a substrate arrangement with a light source device integrated into the structure of the substrate arrangement. The substrate arrangement comprises first and second optically transmissive substrates, an insulating layer in which the light source device is embedded and provided between the substrates, and a thermally conductive layer provided on at least on of the substrates.
