A product container holder for accommodating a product container, wherein the product container holder can be separately handled and can be inserted into an injection device, and includes an engaging member that can be moved transversely to the longitudinal axis of the product container holder and which can block a movement of the product container relative to the product container holder in the distal direction, and a securing structure which can be moved relative to the engaging member from an initial position to a securing position in which it restricts the mobility of the engaging member. In some embodiments, a method of making and a method of using the product container holder is encompassed, as is a container and an injection device with which the holder can be used.

An injection device, in some embodiments an autoinjector, which includes a thrust spring that advances an injection needle from an initial position to an insertion position from the distal end of the injection device and that causes a product to be emptied from the product reservoir by an emptying movement, and a return spring that retracts the injection needle from the insertion position into the distal end of the injection device counter to the force of the thrust spring, wherein the return spring is decoupled from the thrust spring during the emptying movement.

An injection device, in some embodiments an autoinjector, which includes a housing, an actuating sleeve carried by the device to be movable relative to the housing and which can be placed at a point of injection in a position of insertion, an injection needle extendable from the end of the injection device when the injection device is in the position of insertion and moveable into the interior of the injection device, and an actuating cam arranged in an axially fixed manner relative to the injection needle and engageable in a locking recess when the injection device is in the position of insertion to prevent the injection needle from being moved into the interior of the injection device, said actuation cam being releasable from engagement with the locking recess by the actuating sleeve, thereby releasing the injection needle for movement into the injection device.

An injection device for administering a liquid product, the device including a drive mechanism, an engaging member and a catch including a number of latching elements, wherein at least one of the engaging member and the number of latching elements is relatively moveable to the other to generate a haptic and/or acoustic signal comprising a number of discrete signals during a relative movement, wherein one of the catch and the engaging member is coupled to the drive mechanism and the drive mechanism generates a variable drive speed during the relative movement, and wherein the latching elements are a distance (x; x-&#x394;x) from each other such that a time interval between each of the number of discrete signals is constant. A method for generating a haptic and/or acoustic signal in use of an injection device is encompassed.
