A two-for-one twisting or cabling spindle apparatus () with a supply bobbin () mounted on a pot base () of a stationary protective pot () and a spindle () arranged below the protective pot () to guide a yarn () to be processed during a twisting or cabling process. The spindle () is rotatably mounted by a lower bearing device () in a bearing housing () fixed on a spindle rail () and an upper bearing device () mounted to the stationary protective pot (). The largest diameter (d) of the rotatably mounted spindle () is at least 10% less than the diameter (D) of a touching line () of the pot base () of the stationary protective pot () with the yarn ().

Two-for-one twisting or cabling spindle

A yarn brake for a two-for-one twisting spindle has a brake element mounted in the region of a hollow axle of the spindle between an upper and a lower brake face, the braking force being predeterminable in a defined manner by means of the pretensioning of at least one spring element, which acts on an axially displaceably mounted upper piston, in which the upper brake face is integrated, and the yarn brake being pneumatically releasable to introduce a yarn. The upper piston () receiving the upper brake face () is configured in such a way and guided with play (S) within a housing () of the yarn brake () in such a way that it can move aside if necessary into a position (I), in which its center longitudinal axis () forms an angle (&#x3b1;) with the center longitudinal axis () of the housing ().

A device for producing a twisted yarn by an integrated or combined spinning and twisting process is provided and comprises a two-for-one twisting spindle with at least two spinning rotors, positioned within the yarn balloon produced by the twisting process, for producing the individual yarns to be twisted, into which spinning rotors the disentangled fiber material is supplied respectively by the fiber supply tubes, which are connected to the fiber material disentangling units. The fiber material disentangling units are combined to a single fiber material disentangling apparatus with common drive elements for the two disentangling units. Device for producing a twisted yarn by an integrated spinning and twisting process as well as fiber feed tube

In a method for producing a twisted yarn by an integrated spinning and twisting process, individual spun yarns are spun from loose fiber material in at least two spinning devices. The spun yarns are combined and guided in a first direction and subjected to a common first twisting to form a once twisted yarn. The once twisted yarn is then guided in a second direction opposite the first direction according to the two-for-one twisting principle, to form a yarn balloon in order to subject the once twisted yarn to a second twisting. The resulting yarn is then fed through a centering point to a winding device. The loose fiber material is fed into the annular chamber, that is coaxial to the yarn balloon and in which the yarn balloon freely rotates, and is guided substantially radially through the yarn balloon such that the yarn of the yarn balloon directly passes through the loose fiber material. The loose fiber material is then conveyed from the annular chamber substantially radially inwardly into the spinning devices by a pressure gradient.

A method for continuously producing a twisted yarn with minimal curling tendency includes the steps of spinning a yarn and directly thereafter, within a time period of less than one second, twisting the yarn. The yarn tension at the end of the spinning step can be adjusted to be essentially the same as the yarn tension at the end of the twisting step, or, in the alternative, the yarn tension at the end of the twisting step is greater than 70% of the yarn tension at the end of the spinning step.
