A switch module system includes switch modules. Each switch module has a housing, a keypad with switch domes, and an actuator for the switch domes. The housing of each switch module includes a housing chassis and a housing cover. The switch modules are attached to a substrate with contact areas of the substrate being electrically connectable through the switch domes of the keypads of the switch modules. For each switch module a respective section of the substrate is inserted into the housing chassis of the switch module and the respective section of the substrate is attached by the housing cover of the switch module to the housing chassis of the switch module.

Switch module system

An electric switch ( ) having digital switch position detection includes a switching device ( ) for contacting switch contacts associated with individual code tracks (A, B, C), different switch contacts being contacted by the switching device in different switch positions in totality and the tap off of the switch contacts contacted by the switching device ( ) being applied to an evaluation unit ( ). Depending on the position of the switching device ( ) in at least some switch positions the voltage level has a different value to additionally distinguish this switch position.

Electric switch

A steering column module for a motor vehicle includes functional units such as steering angle sensors and torque sensors adjacently arranged on a steering column. The functional units deliver respective output signals and requiring respective control signals. An electronics unit is connected with an onboard power supply of a motor vehicle for receiving power. The electronics unit is operable for processing the output signals of the functional units and operable for generating control signals for the functional units. A first one of the functional units is connected to the electronics unit via electrical plug-in connector parts with correspondingly arranged counter electrical plug-in connector parts situated on the electronics unit. A second one of the functional units is combined with the electronics unit to form an inseparable assembly.
