Materials are provided that can be used for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, and methods of fabricating the same and methods of using the same are also provided. Polymer-based fiber thin films can have superior electrical conductivity and excellent EMI shielding efficiency while being ultra-flexible and ultra-lightweight. The fiber thin films can be dual polymer thin films and can incorporate quantum dots (QDs) (e.g., magnetic quantum dots) and/or two-dimensional (2D) conductive nanomaterials within a dual polymer matrix comprising a conductive polymer and a nonconductive polymer. The resultant composite thin film can have low density, high porosity, and high electrical conductivity.

Polymer nanocomposite flexible films for electromagnetic interference shielding

Systems and methods are provided for inline process monitoring (e.g., remote inline process monitoring) for scalable and precision high-yield manufacturing. Antenna probes, such as millimeter (mm) wave (mmWave) antenna (mWA) probes, can be introduced into fabrication equipment to reveal the nature of hidden conductor and/or dielectric defects, as well as via-pad and/or device pad-trace misalignments, going beyond automated optical inspection (AOI) or contact probing.

Inline monitoring system for process defects during manufacturing

Cold-sprayed aluminum capacitors on lead frame metal foils are provided for applications in 3D power package integration. This additive manufacturing process allows pre-patterned low-temperature processing of aluminum electrodes on metal lead frames, insulated metal substrates or even heat-spreaders and cold-plates. Cold-sprayed capacitors can eliminate several process integration and reliability issues that are associated with traditional discrete surface-assembled capacitors.

Systems and methods for patterning valve metals

Stacked magnetic cores that can achieve high density with a small footprint are provided. A stacked magnetic core can include a plurality of magnetic films with an adhesive film between each magnetic film and the adjacent magnetic film(s). That is, the magnetic films and adhesive films can be disposed in an alternating fashion. Each adhesive film can be a dielectric/insulating film such that each magnetic film is electrically insulated from every other magnetic film.

Stacked magnetic cores having small footprints

Provided are systems and methods for decalcifying aortic valves and/or other valves, blood vessels, and/or cardiac tissues in a mammalian (e.g., a human) patient (e.g., a patient having or suspected of having calcific aortic valve disease (CAVD)). A transcatheter (aortic) valve decalcification system/method can include applying one or more pulsed magnetic fields to the calcium deposit(s) within a valve or other vessel or tissue within the patient. The system can include a catheter having pulsed magnetic field ribbons disposed therein, and the catheter can be provided to the patient.

Systems and methods for decalcifying cardiac valves and vessels

Stacked magnetic cores that can achieve high density with a small footprint, as well as methods of fabricating and using the same, are provided. A stacked magnetic core can be fabricated by depositing nanomagnetic films with control in composition and nanostructure via a continuous electroplating process. The magnetic films are interspersed with thin adhesive films (that can be insulating) in an automated roll-to-roll process. That is, the magnetic films and adhesive films are disposed in an alternating fashion. The adhesive films can keep the magnetic films completely electrically isolated from each other, while also adhering adjacent magnetic films to each other.
