A treadmill has a front or rear set of pulleys and a looped running belt. The pulleys rotate with the movement of the belt, e.g., when a user walks, jogs, or runs on the treadmill. The pulleys are mounted on a rotating roller tube so that the roller tube rotates with the pulleys. The roller tube is mounted on a stationary shaft using bearings on each side and a one-way device that allows the pulleys to rotate in one direction. The rotation direction corresponds to the movement of the top of the belt from the front to the rear of the treadmill. The one-way device prevents the pulleys from rotating in the opposite direction, preventing the top of the belt from moving from the rear of the treadmill to the front. The one-way device may be a sprag clutch. The treadmill may be a motor-less, curved treadmill.

Exercise treadmill

An exercise machine has a base supporting a boom. The boom has an elongate rigid body that is attached at a proximal end via a pivot mount to the base such that the boom is able to pivot about an axis with respect to the base between a rowing configuration wherein the boom is horizontal, and a climbing configuration wherein the boom extends upwardly. A seat element is slidably mounted above the boom when the boom is in the rowing configuration. A row handle is attached to a row transmission system that includes a row cable that extends to a row resistance device. The boom has a pair of climb handles and a pair of climb pedals, each slidably mounted on the boom, for performing climbing exercises. A climber transmission system connects the climb handles and climb pedals to a climber resistance device.

Combined climber and rowing exercise machine

A cart is disclosed which is capable of being wheeled to a vehicle and mounted thereon through a mount secure coupling attached to the cart and a secure receiver attached to the vehicle. Upon secure attachment to the vehicle, the carts undercarriage assembly including wheels are capable of being retracted into the top deck assembly of the cart. Therefore, the vehicle maintains clearance from the road even after the cart is attached. Upon reaching a destination, the undercarriage of the cart is lowered and the cart is detached from the vehicle. The cart is then able to be wheeled away. The cart allows for transportation of loads without the need for the operator to actually carry either the load or the cart at any stage from start to finish or perform any additional steps to safe and securely attach the cart to the vehicle.

Attachable cart system and method

The present invention provides a manual treadmill, the manual treadmill includes a frame having a front support portion and a rear support portion, a running belt disposed about and supported by the front support portion and the rear support portion, and a speed limiting device, wherein the running belt rotates in a first rotating direction or a second rotating direction in response to a directional movement of a user. The speed limiting device includes a one-way bearing, a rotating element and a transmission element, wherein the rotating element is coupled to the front support portion, and the one-way bearing is connected to the rotating element via the transmission element to limit a speed of the running belt in the second rotating direction.

Treadmill with restraint device

An exercise machine has a base housing and a boom that extends from a proximal end to a distal end. The boom is able to pivot between a rowing configuration wherein the boom is generally horizontal, and a skiing configuration wherein the boom is generally vertical. A rowing assembly includes a row handle attached to a row chain which extends into the base housing, to a row recoil device. A ski assembly includes a pair of ski handles, each ski handle being attached to a ski rope which extends into the base housing, to a ski recoil device. A transmission system has a shaft that is operably connected to a resistance device, the shaft having a row sprocket and a pair of ski spools, and the respective cables contact the spools so that movement of one of the cables rotates the respective spool, thereby rotating the shaft.

Exercise machine

An exercise system has an elongate rigid housing, and an elongate extension arm mounted via a pivot to a bottom end of the elongate rigid housing. A first pulley system is rotatably mounted to a fixed position of the elongate rigid housing. An adjustable mounting mechanism is mounted on the elongate rigid housing. A second pulley system is rotatably mounted on the adjustable mounting mechanism so that the second pulley system can be moved relative to the first pulley system, thereby adjusting the distance between the first pulley system and the second pulley system. An elastic cord extends back and forth between the first and second pulley systems, around the arm pulley of the elongate extension arm, and to a free end that may be used for performing exercises.

Weight bearing exercise system

An exercise machine has a base housing, a boom having an elongate rigid body that extends from a proximal end to a distal end, and a pivot mount which pivotally mounts the proximal end of the boom on the base housing such that the boom is able to pivot with respect to the base housing between a rowing configuration wherein the boom is generally horizontal, and a skiing configuration wherein the boom is generally vertical. A seat element is slidably mounted on the boom, and ski handles attached to a ski cable which extend through ski handle stops at the distal end of the boom. A row handle is also attached to a row cable that extends from the base housing. The exercise machine further includes a resistance device, and a transmission system that connects the ski cable and the row cable to the resistance device.

A multi-functional rowing exerciser apparatus accommodates a plurality of rowing and paddling by connecting or releasing a cable system to selectively configure the rowing exerciser for sweep rowing, sculling oar rowing configuration to the Stand-Up-Paddling configuration in an easy and convenient manner.

Multi-functional exercise rower

An epicyclic gear system features a cylindrical flywheel with a flywheel cavity, a plurality of mounting pillars, an annular ring gear mounted on the mounting pillars, and an annular sun gear mounted to and extending from the flywheel cavity. The epicyclic gear system has a planet carrier mounted to an axle shaft and a planet gear mounted to the planet carrier. The axle shaft passes through an axle aperture, a ring gear aperture, and a sun gear aperture. The planet gear engages the ring gear and the sun gear to provide a desired gear ratio for rotating the flywheel via rotation of the axle shaft, the planet carrier, the planet gear, and the sun gear.

Epicyclic gear system for use in exercise equipment

An epicyclic gear system features a cylindrical flywheel with a cylindrical flywheel cavity, a plurality of cylindrical mounting pillars, an annular ring gear mounted on the cylindrical mounting pillars, and an annular sun gear mounted to and extending from the flywheel cavity. The epicyclic gear system features a planet carrier mounted to an axle shaft and a planet gear mounted to the planet carrier. The axle shaft passes through an axle aperture, a ring gear aperture, and a sun gear aperture. The planet gear engages the ring gear and the sun gear to provide a desired gear ratio for rotating the flywheel via rotation of the axle shaft, the planet carrier, the planet gear, and the sun gear.

A planetary gear system in an exercise machine featuring a flywheel; an axle shaft positioned through the center of the flywheel, a sun gear disposed on the axle shaft and fixedly attached to the flywheel, a housing disposed on the axle shaft, a planet carrier fixedly attached to the axle shaft and disposed in the housing, and a ring gear fixedly attached in the housing. One or more planet gear wheels are rotatably attached to the planet carrier. The planet gear wheels can rotate independently of the planet carrier. Rotation of the axle shaft in a first direction rotates the planet carrier in the first direction, thereby causing the planet gear wheel to rotate in a second direction within the ring gear. Rotation of the planet gear wheel in the second direction causes the sun gear and the flywheel to together rotate in the first direction.
