This specification relates to a linerless label product intended for end uses having a short label-life and requiring manual handling, repositionability and/or removability together with lean sustainable and economical structure. A linerless label web () comprising a direct thermal printable face () and a pressure sensitive adhesive () is provided. The linerless label web () comprises the pressure sensitive adhesive () arranged in one or more machine-direction continuous stripes leaving one or more non-adhesive area(s) between said machine-direction continuous stripes in a cross direction of the linerless label web. A total coverage of the pressure sensitive adhesive () in the cross direction of the linerless label web is less than 70%, or less than 50%, or less than 30%. Further, a manufacturing method of a linerless label web (), a linerless label product roll () as well use of the linerless label web () or the linerless label product roll () in on-demand printing for preparation and delivery of orders are provided.

A method for manufacturing a linerless label web () comprising a direct thermal printable coating and a patterned pressure sensitive adhesive () is provided. The method comprises arranging a substrate comprising the direct thermal printable coating as a face stock (), applying water-based adhesive coating () onto the face stock (), providing the face stock () with alternating adhesion areas and adhesion-free areas in a transversal direction of the face stock, ensuring the adhesion-free areas with a pre-determined level of moisture, and thermally drying the water-based adhesive coating () into the pressure sensitive adhesive ().

Direct coating and drying patterned adhesive on direct thermal face

This invention relates to a method for manufacturing a direct thermal linerless label web (), the direct thermal linerless label web () comprising a face () having a first side () and a second side (), the face comprising a direct thermal printable coating, wherein the method comprises supplying the face (), and applying modified adhesive coating () on to a substrate (). The modified adhesive coating comprises water-based acrylic adhesive, and emulsified silicone additive. The method further comprises thermally drying the modified adhesive coating () on the substrate () into a pressure sensitive adhesive coating (). The substrate is the face () or a carrier material (). Linerless label

This invention relates to a label arrangement for consumer destined food packages. A food package () comprises at least an undertray () and a lidstock () arranged together defining in between a cavity for a food product (). The label arrangement according to the invention comprises a printable face material () and a pressure sensitive adhesive () for attachment of the label () onto the package (). The adhesive surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive () layer is arranged to have one or more adhesion free () and printed zones and the label () is further arranged with one or more weakenings () through the label face material () allowing to manually fold the part of the label with adhesion free () and printed zone for visual inspection of said printing while the label () otherwise remains attached to the package (). The label () is arranged onto the package () so that said manual folding of the part of the label with the adhesion free () and printed zone increases visual access to food product () in the package ().
