A method in which, in response to receiving, in a first user terminal, presence status information on a second user terminal and a corresponding presence status information identifier, the presence status information and a related command element is displayed on the first user terminal. In response to recognizing an act performed by the user of the first user terminal, where the act includes the user entering a presence comment via the command element, the presence comment and the presence status information identifier are transmitted from the first user terminal to a network apparatus.

Providing a presence service in a communications system

To enable syncing communication-specific history information on apparatuses of a user, one of which may be a legacy apparatus, in a multi-apparatus environment, to correspond to each other, communication-specific history information is also maintained in a network, and in response to an event changing the communication-specific history information, it is also updated in the network, and by means of the information in the network, corresponding communication-specific history information in the user's other apparatuses can be updated.

Syncing history information

The invention relates to a system and a method. In the method publication of presence information associated with a user is received by a presence server, the presence information comprises a human-readable address for the user. A request for establishing an emergency session from the user is received to a session processing server, which routes the emergency session to a public safety answering point node. In response to receiving the emergency session, the public safety answering point node sends a subscription for at least part of the presence information to the presence server, the at least part of the presence information comprising the human-readable address for the user. The presence server provides in response the at least part of the presence information to the public safety answering point node.

Method for the obtaining of position information for a user initiating an emergency call in a communication system

A method for managing user terminal identification information is described. In response to an invitation message to establish communication between terminals, a first address identification of a terminal, included in the message, is examined. Based on the first address identification, a first number identification for the corresponding terminal is retrieved from an ENUM database. Based on the retrieved first number identification, a second number identification maintained for the user terminal is retrieved from an MNP database. It is checked whether the number identifications correspond to each other. Based on that, a second address identification corresponding the second communication number identification is retrieved from the ENUM database, and the invitation message is forwarded towards a recipient user terminal such that the second address identification is included in the message.
