A light guiding arrangement adapted to guide light along a deflection light path, the light guiding arrangement comprising a housing, wherein the housing comprises a light entering area; a light escaping area adapted to transmit guided light to an image sensor; a first lens arrangement arranged in between the light entering area and the light escaping area; and one or more light deflection elements arranged in between the light entering area and the light escaping area. The one or more light deflection elements are adapted to form the deflection light path in between the light entering area and the light escaping area. The housing is formed by two or more operatively interconnected components configured to deform the housing.

Light guiding arrangement and electronic device comprising such arrangement

The imaging apparatus comprises a retractable structure with active and inactive positions. An outermost lens group and a lens group actuator are movable along an optical axis. In the inactive position the lens group and the lens group actuator reside close to an image sensor. The lens group actuator is positioned to the same level as the image sensor. In the active position the outermost lens group and the lens group actuator are further from the image sensor along the optical axis. The retractable structure may protrude from the device, covering the imaging apparatus. In one example the structure is reversed, the image sensor protrudes from the device while the outermost lens group is fixed to the device body.

An imaging apparatus comprises two actuators, such as an autofocus actuator and optical image stabilizer. The actuators are nested, wherein the outer actuator is suspended from the device body and the inner actuator is suspended from the outer actuator. A suspension element may be a flexure bearing, allowing a flat actuator design.

A system comprises a smartwatch and an eyeglass frame. The eyeglass frame comprises a front piece, a pair of temples, and an optical element connected to the front piece. Each temple is hinged to an end of the front piece to allow the pair of temples to move between a folded position and an open position, where at least one temple of the pair of temples comprises an adapter to receive the smartwatch. The optical element is connected to the front piece and is configured to reflect light from the smart watch to an eye of a user.

Eyeglass frame

A dual mode virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) headset includes a head-attachment, a main frame coupled to the head-attachment, and a pivot frame. The pivot frame includes a holder configured to accommodate an electronic device having a display screen, and a reflective screen configured to reflect content shown on the display screen. The pivot frame pivotally coupled to the main frame. In the first pivot frame position, the reflective screen at least partially intersects a field of view (&#x3b1;) of a user wearing the headset, and in the second pivot frame position the display screen at least partially intersects the &#x3b1; when the electronic device is accommodated in the holder.

Dual mode headset

In a wearable device, a master unit comprises a first display and a first processing circuitry, and a slave unit comprises a second display and a second processing circuitry. A method aims at outputting information in said displays. The method comprises acquiring a sensor signal from a sensor in the master unit; generating a synchronisation signal, based on the acquired sensor signal; transmitting the synchronisation signal from the first processing circuitry to the second processing circuitry; rendering information to be outputted in the first display, and in the second display based on the synchronisation signal; and outputting the information on the first display and the second display, respectively according to the synchronisation signal.

Wearable device and method therein

The lens arrangement has at least two lenses, wherein a first lens may be used for autofocus and optical image stabilization. The first lens is tilted to compensate for the shaking movement of the hand-held device and to stabilize the image to be captured on the image plane. The tilt action may occur in two degrees of freedom, wherein an actuator causes the first lens to tilt around a pivot. A second lens is a field flattener lens that compensates for the error caused by the difference between the image plane and the focus plane. The field flattener lens causes the focal plane of the first lens to lie in the image plane when the first lens is in a tilted position.

An electronic device comprises a camera and a retaining member. The camera includes an objective portion configured to collect light from a subject, a sensor portion reversibly separable from the objective portion, an alignment-sensing system configured to sense a state of alignment between the objective portion and the sensor portion, an actuator configured to move the objective or sensor portion, and a computer configured to control the actuator responsive to output of the alignment-sensing system, so as to bring the objective and sensor portions into alignment. The retaining member is configured to couple the objective portion to the sensor portion when the objective and sensor portions are aligned and when the objective portion is separated from the sensor portion.

Split-camera autoalignment

An electronic device comprises a camera and a retaining member. The camera includes an objective portion configured to collect light from a subject, a sensor portion reversibly separable from the objective portion, and a computer configured to return an indication of alignment of the objective and sensor portions based on output of one or more optical sensor elements of the sensor portion. The retaining member is configured to couple the objective portion to the sensor portion when the objective and sensor portions are aligned and also when the objective portion is separated from the sensor portion.

Alignment detection for split camera

A multi-part electronic device has a mode with at least two overlapped device parts comprising a first camera part mounted on a first device part and a second camera part mounted on a second device part. At least one of the first and second camera parts is resiliently mounted such that contact between the first and second camera parts when the first device part and the second device part are overlapped with each other aligns the first camera part and the second camera part within a selected angular deviation between the camera parts' respective optical axes. A camera part having a body and a flexible mount and a method of reducing tilt error are also described.

Self-aligning multi-part camera system

A device comprising at least two body sections is disclosed. The first body section comprises a movable imaging unit and a magnet rigidly fixed to the imaging unit, and the second body section comprising an optical unit with a magnet rigidly fixed to the optical unit. The body sections are in a movable connection with each other, and the device is operable in at least two modes. In the first mode, the imaging unit and the optical unit are fixed in a set relative position due to magnetic interaction between the magnets. In the second mode, the imaging unit is positioned away from the optical unit.

Device with split imaging system

The imaging apparatus comprises a retractable structure with active and inactive positions. In the inactive position the lens group resides in proximity to an image sensor, and in the active position the lens group resides at a predetermined distance from the image sensor. The lens group is moved between active and inactive positions by at least one actuator. The imaging apparatus also includes a field flattening lens with a concave shape on the side opposite to the image sensor and facing the moving lens group.
