An adjustable sleeping system. At least some of the example embodiments are an adjustable sleeping system comprising a plurality of spring modules arranged in a first column, each spring module defines a row within the first column. Each spring module may comprise a rail and a plurality of adjustable spring assembles coupled along the rail. Each adjustable spring assembly may comprise a motor coupled to the rail, a lead screw coupled to a rotor of the motor, a spring plate coupled to the lead screw, and a spring coupled to the spring plate. A bed controller is communicatively coupled to each spring module, and the bed controller is configured to selectively control a load carried by each spring assembly.

Methods and systems of an adjustable sleeping system

Spring modules for an adjustable sleeping system. At least some of the example embodiments are spring modules comprising: a spring rail, and a plurality of adjustable spring assemblies spaced along the length of the spring rail. Each adjustable spring assembly may comprise: a motor with a stator coupled to the spring rail, a lead screw coupled to the rotor of the motor, and the lead screw extending above an upper surface of the spring rail, a spring plate coupled to the lead screw, and a main spring coupled to the spring plate. Thus, the weight or force carried by each adjustable spring assembly along the spring rail is separately adjustable by a bed controller.

At least one example embodiment is a method of operating a sleeping system, the method including massaging a person residing on a sleeping surface of the sleeping system, the massaging by driving a plurality of adjustable spring assemblies, the plurality of adjustable spring assemblies part of an array of adjustable spring assemblies arranged such that a top of each adjustable spring assembly defines an upper surface parallel to the sleeping surface.

A tray table assembly adapted to move to and from a stowed position in a stowage module positioned to one side of a passenger seat. The assembly includes an arcuate rail movably mounted in the stowage module, a tray table mounted on the rail for arcuate movement along the rail between the stowed position and the deployed position relative to the rail, and also mounted on the rail for fore and aft translating movement in the deployed position. The tray table rides on an arcuate rail that permits both deployment and fore and aft movement of the tray table, and automatically centers the tray table during movement toward the stowed position.

A suite divider for a passenger suite seating arrangement including separate first and second panels adapted to be deployed along a top of a partition wall separating laterally adjacent passenger suites, the first and second panels adapted to be stowed near respective first and second ends of the partition wall to connect the laterally adjacent passenger suites, and horizontally driven together to separate the laterally adjacent passenger suites.

A vehicle passenger seating unit of the type having at least first and second seats facing each other. A privacy panel is provided that includes first and second video monitors positioned between the first and second seats and selectively moveable between respective stowed positions. When both video monitors are stowed, visual interaction is permitted between seat occupants in the first and second seats. When moved to respective deployed positions between the first and second seats, privacy is provided to the seat occupants in the first and second seats.

Disclosed is a foot well divider for adjacent parallel passenger seats, having a movable structure adapted to be hinged to a static structure positioned between first and second adjacent parallel passenger suites, the movable structure configured to pivot between a first position separating foot well space of the first suite from foot well space of the second suite, and a second position connecting the foot well spaces of the first and second suites. In certain aspects, the movable structure is a foot well divider in an aircraft foot well.

To move a filter along a manifold assembly the filter may be seated on a moveable shuttle assembly. Seating the filter on the shuttle assembly may include mating a key portion on the filter with a key portion on the shuttle assembly, each key portion corresponding to a filtration characteristic of the filter. The shuttle assembly and the seated filter may then be moved between a first position, wherein the key portions of the filter and the shuttle assembly are mated to one another and first and second fittings of the filter are spaced from first and second fittings of the manifold assembly, and a second position, wherein the key portions of the filter and the shuttle assembly are mated to one another and the first and second fittings of the filter sealingly engage the first and second fittings of the manifold assembly.

A filter has first and second fittings, a permeable filter medium, and a housing. The housing defines a fluid flow path within the housing between the first and second fittings, and the permeable filter medium is arranged in the fluid flow path to remove one or more substances from a fluid flowing along the fluid flow path. A reservoir is positioned in an upper region of the housing and includes a wall surrounding the first and second fittings of the filter. Each of the fittings has a topmost portion and the wall of the reservoir has a topmost portion, the topmost portion of each filter fitting being at or below the topmost portion of the reservoir wall. A filter arrangement may include a filter and a manifold assembly having first and second fittings which may be sealingly coupled to or uncoupled from the first and second fittings of the filter.

A system for automatically connecting tubing to a medical fluid machine includes at least one fluid container including a tube having a cap on an end of the tube, a shuttle configured to receive the tube, a driving mechanism configured to translate the shuttle, a cap removal device configured to remove the cap from the end of the tube, and a control unit programmed to cause (i) the driving mechanism to translate the shuttle holding the tube in a first direction towards the cap removal device so that the cap removal device can engage the tube cap, (ii) the driving mechanism to translate in a second direction away from the cap removal device so that the cap removal device removes the cap from the end of the tube, and (iii) the driving mechanism to translate the shuttle in the first direction with the cap removed from the tube so that the tube can be mated with the medical fluid machine.

A filter manifold is provided for filtering particulates in fluid and gas streams. The filter manifold seals the inlet and outlet valves in a closed position until a filter capsule is loaded into a carriage assembly. The inlet and outlet valves are opened only when a filter capsule is properly loaded into the carriage assembly.

The housing defines a fluid flow path within the housing between the first and second fittings, and the permeable filter medium is arranged in the fluid flow path to remove one or more substances from a fluid flowing along the fluid flow path. A finger hold is positioned in an upper region of the housing, the finger hold defining a space that is sufficient to allow one or more fingers of an operator to fit in the space and grasp the filter.
