The filter assembly includes a housing portion (), a first filter media portion () attached to the housing portion, and first and second spring members () attached to the housing portion, wherein the first and second spring members each have a floating portion and engage the plurality of receiving portions and cause a sealing force to be exerted against the filter assembly.

The present disclosure pertains to a therapeutic gas delivery system () including a pressure generator inlet apparatus () configured to facilitate filtering of gas drawn into the inlet () of the pressure generator () of the system. The apparatus comprises a body () and a support (). The body is configured to removably engage the inlet of the pressure generator and receive a particulate filter (). The body forms an orifice () configured to conduct gas that has passed through the filter to the pressure generator inlet. The support is coupled to the body at or near the orifice. The support is configured to extend from the body toward the filter and support the filter. The support is configured to resist collapse of the filter into the orifice caused by gas flowing through the filter to the pressure generator inlet.

Pressure generator inlet filter apparatus

An apparatus includes a housing having a gas flow generator for generating a flow of breathing gas and a humidifier disposed therein having a chamber for housing a volume of water. The chamber has a top opening for providing the volume of water therein. The apparatus further includes a lid coupled to the housing that is movable between a first position wherein the lid covers the top opening and a second position wherein the lid does not cover the top opening. The apparatus also includes a passage which extends from a first end positioned and structured to receive the flow of breathing gas from the gas flow generator to an opposite second end positioned on the lid and structured to expel the flow of breathing gas into the chamber. An outlet for conveying the flow of breathing gas from the chamber out of the housing is positioned on the housing.

The present disclosure pertains to an apparatus configured to facilitate monitoring of gas in a therapeutic gas delivery system with a catalytic sensor. The gas delivery system comprises a pressure generator having an inlet and an outlet, and a gas delivery flow path configured to communicate the gas between the pressure generator and a subject. The apparatus comprises a receiver body configured to receive the catalytic sensor such that the catalytic sensor removably couples with the receiver body, the receiver body located remotely from/outside the gas delivery flow path; a delivery port configured receive a portion of gas obtained from the gas delivery system that has passed through the pressure generator outlet and guide the received portion of gas toward the catalytic sensor; and a return port configured to exhaust the received portion of gas from the receiver body to the gas delivery system through the pressure generator inlet.

A system is configured to prevent damage from liquid spills in a humidified pressure support therapy device. The system includes a decoupler configured to decouple a humidification chamber in a humidifier from a pressure generator of the pressure support therapy device in response to a cover of the humidifier being opened. This eliminates and/or reduces the possibility of liquid in an overfilled humidification chamber unintentionally and/or otherwise entering the pressure generator and damaging sensitive mechanical and/or electrical components. The wire assembly has an electrical wire member having a first end electrically coupled to a second connector end of the electrical connector member and a second end electrically coupled to a power supply. The wire member is spooled around the port assembly and encased in a chamber defined between the housing portion and the port assembly. The serpentine shape of feed path halts the flow of liquid responsive to the device being tilted out of an operational orientation.

A pressure support system configured to provide pressure support therapy includes a humidifier that holds an enhanced amount of liquid while enhancing the power consumption of the pressure support system and enabling relatively rapid adjustments to humidity level. The humidifier includes a humidification chamber and a holding chamber, and a partition that divides the holding chamber from the humidification chamber such that liquid from the holding chamber replenishes liquid held in the humidification chamber.
