Safety air gun

A pass-through vacuum includes a mixing tube and separate and removable housing extending along a mutual central longitudinal axis. The housing contains at least one location for retaining a nozzle which extends along a nozzle axis and has an inlet configured to be in fluid communication with a compressed gas source and an outlet in fluid communication with the hollow interior of the mixing tube via an aperture. The nozzle axis of the nozzle extends at an acute angle with respect to the central longitudinal axis of the mixing tube. The at least one nozzle accelerates gas from the compressed gas source to create an improved performance to entrain gas and material to flowing through the mixing tube from the entrance end to the exit end. The mixing tube and the housing can each be independently configured to optimize their function and performance.

In a spray nozzle (), a carrier () defines a spray aperture (), a groove () surrounding the spray aperture for receiving an o-ring (), a first locating bore () for slidably receiving an orifice plate () seated against the o-ring () and for aligning the orifice plate with the spray aperture, and a second locating bore () for slidably receiving a swirl unit and aligning the swirl unit () with the orifice plate and spray aperture. The swirl unit () defines on its peripheral surface a recessed flat () forming a fluid passageway between the swirl unit and carrier. The swirl unit () includes a swirl chamber () defined by a curvilinear surface () formed within the swirl unit, and an inlet port () formed in fluid communication between the swirl chamber and fluid passageway. The nozzle body () is threadedly received within the carrier () behind the swirl unit () to axially press the swirl unit, and in turn press the orifice plate () against the adjacent surface of the carrier.

A safety air gun may include a body, a valve, and a valve-operating lever. The body may have a shape that curves from an inlet end to an outlet end, thereby defining a convex side and a concave side. The body may define a bore that extends between the inlet end and the outlet end. The valve may so intersect the bore as to regulate flow through the bore. The valve-operating lever may be positioned on the convex side of the body and operably coupled to the valve.

A versatile book is disclosed for hanging pneumatically actuated devices (e.g., airguns or spray guns). In the preferred embodiment, the versatile hook comprises: a hook body having a base with an annular section that defines a through-space corresponding to the shape of the pneumatic device's cylindrical extension tube or barrel; a hook-shaped extension attached to the body; and, positioning-and-mounting means for selectively positioning the hook, around and along the barrel, and thereafter mounting the body in a temporarily fixed position onto the barrel, with the hook-shaped extension facing towards or away from the discharge nozzle. Upon loosening a bolt, the preferred hook can be reoriented.
