A method of manufacturing a molded solid surface includes mixing ferrous particles into a resinous material, injecting the resinous material including the ferrous particles into a mold, the mold including an upper mold half and a lower mold half, creating a predetermined pattern in the resinous material by applying a force to the ferrous particles in the resinous material toward a surface of the upper mold half or the lower mold half using one or more magnets, and curing the resinous material in the mold into the molded solid surface.

In one embodiment, the present disclosure is directed to a bathroom mirror lighting system comprising a mirror, a light source, a sensor, and a control circuit operably coupled to the light source and the sensor. The control circuit receives a sensor signal from the sensor indicative of at least one of a user's distance from the sensor, a user's position, a user's posture, a motion of the user towards or away from the sensor, or a task being performed by the user. The control circuit then transmits a control signal to the light source causing the light source to alter its light output based on the sensor signal from the sensor.

The unitary body is formed of a non-metallic material having a processing temperature less than a temperature at which the first material forming the internal waterway is undesirably affected, wherein the unitary body is molded around the internal waterway.

The continuous internal waterway includes a first chamber, a second chamber, a valve seat, and a waterway. The second chamber is configured to receive water from a water source. The valve seat is coupled to the first chamber and the second chamber. The valve seat is in fluid communication with the second chamber. The waterway is in fluid communication with the valve seat. The body encapsulates the continuous internal waterway. The faucet is operational to receive the water from the water source and to provide the water to the waterway. The body is isolated from the water by the continuous internal waterway during operation of the faucet.

A method of making an article includes mixing a filler material and a polymer matrix material to produce a composite material, introducing the composite material produced by the mixing into a mold of a desired shape, and removing an article having the desired shape from the mold. The resulting article has a water absorption of less than about one percent and the filler material comprises vitreous china.
