A wearable lighting system includes a first wireless communications device such as a transmitter disposed within a vehicle, a light-emitting device worn by a user, and a second wireless communications device such as a sensor. The sensor is worn by the user and is in wireless communication with the transmitter. The sensor is adapted to activate the light-emitting device when the sensor is greater than a threshold distance from the transmitter and adapted to deactivate the light-emitting device when the sensor is a less than or equal to the threshold distance from the transmitter, thereby causing the light-emitting device to automatically activate upon the user exiting the vehicle and automatically deactivate when the user returns to the vehicle.

Wearable safety lighting system

A method and system are provided for detecting pancreatic trauma in a trauma patient during a surgical operation. The method includes positioning a detection device in contact with the patient's pancreas, applying a chemical indicator to the detection device after removing the detection device from the patient, and detecting a chemical reaction on the detection device that is indicative of the pancreas releasing an enzyme as a result of pancreatic trauma.

Method and system for detecting pancreatic trauma

A mail enabled object may be migrated from one hosting server to another by using a temporary buffer that may capture incoming mail during the migration operation. A new mail enabled object may be created and enabled on a target server, and the old mail object may be disabled and forwarded to a buffer that may collect incoming messages. While the buffer receives incoming messages, the contents of the old mail object may be copied to the new mail object. After verifying the transfer of the contents, the buffer may be released to forward any collected messages to the new mail object. The old mail object may then be cleaned up. The migration may be performed from one server to another, from one forest to another, and to and from a remotely hosted messaging service.

Mail object migration

A speaker housing assembly including an adapter and a speaker enclosure is disclosed. The adapter has an escutcheon and a partially spherical recessed concave portion. The speaker enclosure has a partially spherical sidewall that is received in the recessed concave portion of the adapter. A lock assembly secures the speaker enclosure to the adapter through an arcuate slot. Flanges of the lock assembly are placed in registry with teeth formed on opposite sides of the arcuate slot to lock the speaker enclosure in place. An elastomeric pad is provided between the recessed concave portion and the partially spherical sidewall to dampen vibrations and supplement the locking engagement of the lock assembly.

The disclosed device is an additional, normally-closed relay positioned in line with the ignition switch and the functionality controlled by the OEM, normally-open relay. When the aftermarket system is in the disarmed state, the normally-closed relay is dormant in its closed position, thereby allowing the circuit to complete its intended loop. When the aftermarket security system is enabled, the normally-closed relay will open the current flow and prevent the current from reaching its target, thereby disrupting or disabling the operation of the vehicle function. If the normally-closed relay fails, it fails in its closed position, thereby not affecting the OEM system.

Failsafe disable in a vehicle security system

A speaker system including in combination a speaker and surface mounting apparatus is disclosed. The speaker system has an adapter that secures the speaker system to the wall. A speaker box is secured to the adapter and has at least one speaker that is secured to at least one speaker portal wall of the speaker box, or speaker enclosure. A speaker portal wall is disposed in a plane that is oriented at an angle relative to the wall and is disposed outboard of the wall. A surface mounting adapter has a peripheral edge portion and a planar portion extending between the peripheral edge portion and the enclosure structure. Portions of at least four sides of the enclosure structure protrude from the planar portion of the wall. Other portions of at least four sides of the enclosure structure are recessed relative to the planar portion of the wall.
