A performance instrument for a vehicle wherein an electronic device receives one or more operational quantities from internal sensors and/or external sensors and represents the one or more operational quantities as an analog clock face so that each clock hand is a function of one of the one or more operational quantities. The analog clock face representation provides at-a-glance apparency of the operational quantities for a user of the vehicle.

Electronic device based vehicle performance instrument, system, and method

A bioreactor vessel is provided. The bioreactor vessel comprises a bioreactor bag wall having an interior side and an exterior side and an aperture extending from the interior side to the exterior side, wherein the interior side is configured to contact and house a reaction mixture. The bioreactor vessel also comprises a port mounted proximate the aperture, the port including a flange fixedly attached to the bioreactor bag, such that a fluidic seal is maintained along a circumference of the flange. The bioreactor vessel also comprises a plurality of sensors disposed within the port.

Single-use bioreactor port with multiple sensors

A sensor assembly includes a first sensor and a second sensor. An enclosure is operably coupled to each of the first and second sensors and contains memory that stores compensation data for each of the first and second sensors. A connector is operably coupled to the first and second sensors. A bioreaction sensing assembly as well as a method of manufacturing the bioreaction sensing assembly is also provided.

Single-use bioreactor sensor architecture

A pressure measurement system is provided. The system includes a pressure sensing probe extendable into a process fluid and having a pressure sensor with an electrical characteristic that varies with process fluid pressure. A mineral insulated cable has a metallic sheath with a distal end attached to the pressure sensing probe and a proximal end. The mineral insulated cable includes a plurality of conductors extending within the metallic sheath and being spaced from one another by an electrically insulative dry mineral. The proximal end of the metallic sheath is configured to be sealingly attached to a process fluid vessel.

A pressure sensor includes an elongate body which deforms in response to an applied pressure having a cavity formed therein. An isolation diaphragm seals the cavity from a process fluid and is configured to deflect in response to applied process pressure from the process fluid. An isolation fill fluid in the cavity applies pressure to the elongate body in response to deflection of the isolation diaphragm thereby causing deflection of the elongate body. A deformation sensor is coupled to the elongate body and provides a sensor output in response to deformation of the elongate body which is indicative of the process pressure.

A venturi flowmeter for connection to single-use containers is provided. The venturi flowmeter includes a meter body formed of a polymer and configured to allow fluid flow therethrough. A first annular diaphragm is mounted proximate an inner surface of the meter body has a first internal diameter. A second annular diaphragm is mounted proximate an inner surface of the meter body has a second internal diameter different from the first internal diameter.

Flow measurement system for single-use containers

A polymeric remote seal system is provided for coupling a single-use container to a pressure measurement instrument. The polymeric remote seal system includes a process-side coupling, an instrument-side coupling and a fluidic coupling therebetween. The process-side coupling is configured to couple to the single-use container and is formed of a radiation sterilizable polymer. The process-side coupling has a process-side deflectable diaphragm that is configured to deflect in response to pressure within the single-use container. The instrument-side coupling is configured to couple to the pressure measurement instrument and is formed of a radiation sterilizable polymer. The instrument-side coupling is configured to fluidically convey fluid pressure to an isolation diaphragm of the pressure measurement instrument. Tubing fluidically couples the process-side coupling to the instrument-side coupling.

Polymeric remote seal system for single-use containers

A non-intrusive sensor system includes an array of sensors disposed in a process to measure various input process phenomena and a logic unit that analyses the sensor measurements using an empirical model to produce an estimate of a further process phenomenon not measured directly by any of the array of sensors. The sensors within the array of sensors may be non-intrusive sensors that measure input process phenomena in an intrusive or non-intrusive manner but are non-intrusive with respect to the output process phenomenon as none of these sensors comes into direct contact with the process fluid or process element exhibiting the output process phenomenon. The sensors within the array of sensors can be any type of sensors that produce a measurement of a particular process phenomenon at the same or at different locations within a process.

A two-wire process variable indicator includes a housing having a plurality of terminals disposed therein. The terminals are coupleable to a two-wire process control loop. A power module is coupled to the plurality of terminals to receive current flow from the process control loop. Driver circuitry is coupled to the power module and a microencapsulated electrophoretic display is coupled to the driver circuitry.

A field device is provided. The field device includes field device electronics configured to couple to a transducer. A plurality of terminals is coupled to the field device electronics and is configured to couple the field device to a process communication loop to allow the field device to communicate over the process communication loop. Each of the plurality of terminals is configured to support multiple conductor attachment types.

An embodiment of the present invention includes a display device including a mechanical indicator, a reference photodetector, a measurement photodetector, and an opaque shroud. The opaque shroud is connected to the mechanical indicator to variably cover the measurement photodetector based on a position of the mechanical indicator. The opaque shroud does not cover the reference photodetector.

A field device resident algorithm receives one or more diagnostic inputs and generates actionable service information. The algorithm(s) can be changed or updated after the manufacture of the field device. The actionable service information can be displayed locally or sent over a process control loop. A prediction engine can be employed to determine a period within which such service should be completed.

The intelligent interface module includes at least one data connection port configured to couple to a data communication network as well as at least one process communication connection port configured to couple to a field device bus. The intelligent interface module also includes a controller and memory coupled to the controller. Higher order functions include calibration support, complex device support, diagnostic support, distributed control system support, and virtual field device functions.

A remote system for sensing a process fluid parameter comprises a cavity, a tuner and a signal coupler. The cavity is configured to resonate at a central frequency that shifts in response to the process fluid parameter. The tuner is configured to tune the central frequency. The signal coupler is configured to receive a query signal, and to transmit an echo signal when the query signal matches the shifted central frequency.

A process fluid level measurement system is configured to measure a level of at least one process fluid in a vessel. The vessel has a cage with at least one annular isolator located inside the cage. The at least one annular isolator has a band-shaped isolator diaphragm. A differential pressure transmitter is operably coupled to the annular isolators) and is configured to generate a level output based, at least in part, upon pressure measured relative to the annular isolator(s).
