A multi-cell inductive wireless power transfer system includes multiple transmitting elements. Each transmitting element includes one or more transmitting windings and one or more transmitting magnetic cores. The multi-cell inductive wireless power transfer system also includes multiple receiving elements. The transmitting elements are separated from the receiving elements by an air gap. Each receiving element includes one or more receiving windings and one or more receiving magnetic cores.

Multi-cell inductive wireless power transfer system

A system includes a first slice and a second slice coupled to each other. Each slice includes a housing formed of an electrically-insulative material, a ceramic plate disposed at each end of the housing, and an end plate disposed over each of the ceramic plates. Each end plate is formed of a thermally-conductive material. The system also includes a backplane assembly coupled to the first slice and the second slice.

System and method for high voltage isolation with thermal conductivity

A regulated current-fed power system employs power branching units connected in series. Each power branching unit includes a plurality of parallel-redundant converter groups connected in series with each other within a current path for the regulated current. Each parallel-redundant converter group includes at least two direct current (DC)/DC converters connected in parallel with each other, each sharing the power load. A protection device connected in series with each DC/DC converter disconnects the respective DC/DC converter from the regulated current when the respective DC/DC converter short circuits, with the remaining DC/DC converter(s) then receiving more of the power load. An active clamp connected in parallel with all of the DC/DC converters within a parallel-redundant converter group temporarily sinks a portion of the regulated current when one of the DC/DC converters fails in a short-circuit condition. The active clamp shunts the regulated current around all DC/DC converters within the parallel-redundant converter group converters fail in a short-circuit condition.

Power system based on current source

A system includes at least one pair of series adaptive clamps (SACs). Each SAC is configured to connect to a single conductor that is configured to conduct a constant current between shore-side power sources on opposite ends of the single conductor. Each SAC is configured to clamp a specified amount of power from the single conductor. Each SAC is configured to connect to one end of two ends of a power transfer bus, wherein the other end of the power transfer bus is connected to another SAC of a same pair of SACs. Each SAC is configured to provide a constant voltage to the power transfer bus at the constant current in order to supply at least some of the specified amount of power to a load connected to the power transfer bus.

Large scale sub-sea high voltage distributed DC power infrastructure using series adaptive clamping

a bidirectional repeater for repeating an electrical signal traversing a conductive line coupled between a gateway node and a sensor, the bidirectional repeater comprising a first input-output port coupled to the gateway node, a second input-output port coupled to the sensor, a first transceiver configured to receive a synchronization signal from the first input-output port and to transmit a resynchronized data signal to the first input-output port, a second transceiver configured to transmit the synchronization signal to the second input-output port and to receive a data signal from the second input-output port, and a repeater circuit coupled to the first and second transceivers and configured to pass through the synchronization signal, and to resynchronize the data signal to generate the resynchronized data signal.

Extendable synchronous low power telemetry system for distributed sensors

An unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) is disclosed. The UUV includes a body and a propulsion system for propelling and orienting the UUV. The propulsion system has an inlet formed in the body that facilitates fluid being drawn into the UUV from outside the body. The propulsion system also has a duct in fluid communication with the inlet. The duct is adapted to direct the fluid along a flow path. The propulsion system further includes a pump operable with the duct to increase the velocity of the fluid. In addition, the propulsion system includes a nozzle in fluid communication with the duct to receive the fluid at the increased velocity. The nozzle is supported about a side of the body and adapted to moveably redirect fluid out of the UUV. The propulsion system provides multi-axis control of the UUV.
