An apparatus is provided for installing a faucet on a top side of a deck. The apparatus includes a threaded member engaged with the faucet and extending through the mounting hole to be rotated from above the deck. A nut is threadedly connected to the threaded member to pass through the mounting hole to the underside of the deck. A second member associated with and parallel to the threaded member engages the nut to prevent rotation thereof during rotation of the threaded member whereby the nut will be shifted up or down along the length of the threaded member. A pair of retaining arms are provided whereby, upon rotation of the threaded member to raise the nut in the direction of the deck, the retaining arms will bend outwardly and engage the underside of the deck to clamp the faucet to the deck.

Quick install faucet body

An apparatus is provided for installing a faucet or end body valve assembly on a top side of a deck. The apparatus includes a threaded member engaged with the faucet or end body and extending through the mounting hole to be rotated from above the deck. A wedge nut is threadedly connected to the threaded member to pass through the mounting hole to the underside of the deck. A second member associated with and parallel to the threaded member engages the nut to prevent rotation thereof during rotation of the threaded member whereby the nut will be shifted up or down along the length of the threaded member responsive to the direction of rotation of the threaded member. A retainer member is disposed around the threaded member and includes a plurality of legs which each include a foot portion at an end thereof. Upon rotation of the threaded member to raise the nut in the direction of the deck, the wedge nut engages the retainer member and causes the foot portions of each leg to engage the underside of the deck to clamp the faucet or end body to the deck.

A valve assembly comprises a valve stem, an annular bonnet configured to receive the valve stem, a valve disk coupled to one end of the valve stem, a seal, and an insert. The seal is disposed adjacent the valve disk and has a top surface and a bottom surface. The top surface includes a first pair of sealing ridges extending upwardly therefrom and the bottom surface includes a second pair of sealing ridges extending downwardly therefrom. The insert includes a recess configured to receive the seal that performs a sealing function and a biasing function. The valve assembly can easily be configured to open in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction without resort to adapters or other additional pieces by rotating the bonnet/valve stem sub-assembly 90&deg; relative to the insert.

Valve assembly and seal therefor

A quick connect hose assembly is provided for a widespread faucet including a spout and a pair of end bodies mounted to a deck at spaced locations from the spout. The quick connect hose assembly includes a T-connector slidably mounted on an end of a waterway tube connected to the spout. The T-connector includes a pair of serrated hose connecting portions. A pair of connector members are provided including a hollow body portion which slidably receives a bottom portion of the end bodies and an outwardly extending serrated hose connecting portion extending from the hollow body portion. A first hose is connected between the T-connector and one of the connector members and a second hose is connected between the T-connector and the other connector member.

Quick connect hose assembly

An apparatus is provided for installing a faucet on a top side of a deck. The apparatus includes a threaded member engaged with the faucet and extending through the mounting hole to be rotated from above the deck. A nut is threadedly connected to the threaded member to pass through the mounting hole to the underside of the deck and to be shifted toward and away from the underside of the deck responsive to the direction of rotation of the threaded member. A second member associated with and parallel to the threaded member engages the nut to prevent rotation thereof during rotation of the threaded member whereby the nut will be shifted up or down along the length of the threaded member responsive to the direction of rotation of the threaded member. A retaining bracket is pivotally connected to the nut and gravity balanced to assume a free position across the nut which is substantially perpendicular to the threaded member when the nut has been shifted downwardly sufficiently away from the deck. The retaining bracket has a greater length than a diameter of the mounting hole in the deck and is pivoted upwardly along the length of the threaded member to be carried with the nut downwardly through the mounting hole in the deck and to swing to said free position when sufficiently past the mounting hole whereby, upon rotation of the threaded member to raise the nut in the direction of the deck, the retaining bracket will engage the underside of the deck to clamp the faucet to the deck.

Quick install faucet assembly

A check valve 10 for a fluid passageway 12 or 14 of a pressure balancer 16 or the like, and having a base plate 40 with an opening 62 therethrough connected in the passageway 12 or 14. The underside 42 of the base plate 40 disposed in the passageway 12 or 14 to face normal flow therein and the upperside 44 facing the opposite direction. A substantially 'U' shaped frame member 79 is connected on the upperside 44 of the base plate 40. The frame member 79 carries two leg members 52 and 54 extending from the upperside 44 of the base plate 40 on opposite sides of the opening 62 with a bridge member 72 carried by the leg members 52 and 54 to span the opening 62. A closure member 92 is disposed on the upperside 44 of the base plate 40 adjacent the opening 62. A spring member 80 is connected between the frame member 79 and the closure member 92 normally to urge the closure member 92 to close the opening 62 whenever the flow in the passageway 12 or 14 is less than 5 psi.
