A helical stent is provided that is wound in a zig-zag pattern along a pitch angle with respect to a plane transverse to the axis of the stent. A bisecting line extending through a bend and between two adjacent angular struts is also angled with respect to the longitudinal axis of the stent.

Helical stent

A prosthesis delivery system and method of use thereof are described. The system includes a handle, an inner cannula extending proximally from the handle, an outer sheath extending proximally from the handle, and a pull member. The outer sheath including an axially collapsible segment and a non-collapsible body. The pull member is coupled between the handle and the axially collapsible segment or the non-collapsible body of the outer sheath. The handle is operable to retract the pull member such that the axially collapsible segment is shortened. The handle may include a spool and an actuator coupled to the pull member in a manner for winding the pull member around the spool. The handle may be shorter than the retraction length of the axially collapsible segment sized for deployment of the prosthesis.

A method for making a graft layer is provided. The graft layer has at least two layers with different porosities. The two layers are applied by electrospinning. The parameters of the electrospinning may be varied when applying the first and second layers in order to achieve different porosities of the first and second layers.

Method for electrospinning a graft layer

An endoluminal prosthesis may include a tubular graft extending in a longitudinal direction, where the graft has an inner surface forming a lumen extending a length of the graft. An elongate member may be attached to the graft in a circumferentially and longitudinally extending manner such that the elongate member forms a series of longitudinally spaced apart turns, each turn extending substantially around a circumference of the graft. The elongate member may torsion the graft in at least the circumferential direction and cause the graft to form circumferentially and longitudinally extending folds in the portions of the graft disposed between longitudinally adjacent turns of the elongate member.

Preform for and an endoluminal prosthesis

A delivery system for a medical device may include a sheath, a catheter slideably disposed within the sheath, and a hemostatic device comprising a housing disposed around and sealingly engaged with the sheath by a first seal. A sleeve is slideably coupled to the catheter and comprises a second seal sealingly engaging the catheter. The sleeve is movable between a first position, in which the sleeve is disposed outside of the housing and the first seal is sealingly engaged with an outer surface of the catheter, and a second position in which at least a portion of the sleeve is disposed within the housing between an inner surface of the housing and the outer surface of the catheter, wherein, in the second position, the first seal is sealingly engaged with an outer surface of the sleeve and the second seal is sealingly engaged with the outer surface of the catheter.

Graft deployment assist tool

A stent including a stent wire comprising a plurality of filaments twisted into a bundle having a helix, the stent wire bent into a pattern having a plurality of substantially straight wire sections separated by a plurality of bends. The pattern of the stent wire is spirally wound about a central axis in the same direction as the helix formed by the plurality of filaments. Each of the filaments in a bend have a cylindrical cross-section where at least one of the plurality of filaments is displaced and spaced from an immediately adjacent filament in the bend.

Multi-strand helical stent

A system for anchoring an endoluminal prosthesis comprises a barb. The barb comprises a base, a retractable body extending distally from the base towards a distal anchor, and a hinge disposed between the base and the anchor and spaced apart from the base. The anchor pivots about the hinge between a retracted configuration and an extended configuration. Additional devices, systems, and methods are disclosed.

Flexible barb for anchoring a prosthesis

A portable liquid oxygen (LOX) storage/delivery apparatus is provided, including an insulated (LOX) container having an interior, a bottom portion and a sidewall, the sidewall including a first side portion and a second side portion, both extending between the top portion and the bottom portion, and a port system in communication with the interior of the container for charging the container and for withdrawing LOX and gaseous oxygen from the container. The gaseous oxygen is withdrawn from the container through a first outlet and LOX is withdrawn from the container through a second outlet. Gaseous oxygen can be withdrawn from the container through the first outlet and LOX can be withdrawn from the container through the second outlet when the container is positioned in a first orientation with the sidewall vertically oriented, as well as when the container is positioned in a second orientation with the second side portion oriented downwardly and with the first side portion oriented upwardly and overlying the second side portion, and any position in between.

Portable liquid oxygen unit with multiple operational orientations

A medical grasping device () has an elongate control member () with a grasping member () proximal to its distal tip. An outer sheath () with a passageway therethrough surrounds the elongate control member and is relatively movable with respect to the control member. A control assembly () disposed at a proximal end of said outer sheath has a fixed handle () and a sliding handle () and the proximal end of the elongate control member is fixed to the sliding handle to move the control member. The grasping member () has a plurality of pre-formed wire loops () which self-deploy transversely upon emerging from said distal end of said outer sheath. Each wire loop is fastened to substantially opposite sides of the elongate control member so that each of said wire loops is substantially semi-circular upon full deployment and the respective ends () of each wire loop extend substantially in opposite directions from the elongate control member.

Medical grasping device

A high-efficiency liquid oxygen (LOX) storage/delivery system utilizes a portable LOX/delivery apparatus with a portable LOX container. A portable-unit LOX transfer connector is connected to the portable LOX container and is connectable to a main source of LOX in a primary reservoir LOX container. A portable-unit oxygen gas transfer connector is provided for transferring oxygen gas from the portable LOX container to an oxygen gas delivery device for delivering oxygen gas to a patient. An inter-unit oxygen gas transfer connector also is provided for connecting the portable apparatus to a stationary source of oxygen gas in the primary reservoir container, for transferring oxygen gas to the portable apparatus. A portable-unit primary relief valve is connected to the portable LOX container for venting oxygen gas out of the portable LOX container when pressure in the portable LOX container reaches a predetermined level.

A portable liquid oxygen (LOX) storage/delivery apparatus is provided, including an insulated (LOX) container having an interior, a top portion, a bottom portion and a sidewall, the sidewall including a first side portion and a second side portion, both extending between the top portion of the bottom portion, and a port system in communication with the interior of the container for charging the container and for withdrawing LOX and gaseous oxygen from the container.

A portable liquid oxygen (LOX) storage/delivery apparatus is provided, including an insulated LOX container having an interior, a top portion, bottom portion, and sidewall, the sidewall including a first and second side portion, both extending between the top and bottom portion, and a port system in communication with the interior for charging the container and for withdrawing LOX and gaseous oxygen. The gaseous oxygen is withdrawn from the container through a first outlet and LOX is withdrawn from the container through a second outlet when the container is positioned in a first orientation with the sidewall vertically oriented, as well as when the container is positioned in a second orientation with the second side portion oriented downwardly and with the first side portion upwardly and overlying the second side portion, and any position in between.

When the inter-unit oxygen gas transfer connector of the portable container is connected to the stationary source of oxygen in the primary reservoir container, oxygen gas can be transferred to the oxygen gas delivery device for delivery to the patient from the portable LOX container while oxygen gas is transferred to the portable container from the stationary source of gas in the primary reservoir LOX container.
