An electronic uninterruptible power supply unit includes one or more battery connections. A bi-directional converter is in electrical communication with the one or more battery connections and arranged to (a) provide power at a first controlled voltage from the one or more battery connections as a boost converter when power is determined to not be available from a power source; and (b) provide charge to the one or more battery connections by providing power at a second controlled voltage that is different from the first controlled voltage when power is determined to be available from the power source. First and second MOSFET switches are connected in series with the one or more battery connections and arranged as a bi-directional switch that controls charging current for the one or more battery connections.

Methods, systems, and apparatus for managing power in a data center. In one aspect, a method includes monitoring respective phase power level in each phase of an alternating current multi-phase supply that provides power to a plurality of data center alternating current devices in a data center, comparing the respective phase power levels to phase distribution criteria that describe a target phase power level for each respective phase and determine, based on the comparison, a deviation of one or more of monitored phase power levels from the respective one or more target phase power levels and in response generate, for each of two or more data center alternating current devices, respective control signals to adjust the one or more adjustable phase power supplies in the data center alternating current device according to a determined adjustment for the data center alternating current device.

Active phase balancing in power zones

The present disclosure provides various bus bar connectors configured to draw power from a bus bar at non-discrete locations. In one aspect, a bus bar connector may include a connector housing having a slot. The slot may be configured to allow the connector housing to grip a bus bar at different locations. First and second electrical contacts may be disposed on opposite sides of the slot. The bus bar connector includes mounting members for securing the connector housing against an enclosure for the bus bar and a spring clip that can be to attach to upper and lower outer surfaces of the connector housing to provide an amount of contact force onto the outer surface of the connector housing. The amount of contact force enables the first and second electrical contacts to securely grip the bus bar.

In one embodiment, a method includes determining if a power load requirement associated with a server arrangement is below a threshold. The server arrangement includes at least a first power supply and a second power supply, as well as a capacitor arrangement. The method also includes providing power to the server arrangement using the first power supply and not the second power supply when it is determined that the power load requirement is below the threshold, and providing the power to the server arrangement using the first power supply and the second power supply when it is determined that the power load requirement is not below the threshold.
