A shelving unit has left- and right-hand side rails for engaging the inner surfaces of opposed sidewalls of a display system. A generally trapezoidal bridge member having its upper lateral edge as the major side, is defined by two outer, longitudinal edges which slope inwardly at a prescribed angle as each moves from the upper lateral edge. The sloping longitudinal edges are adapted for frictionally engaging each respective side rail such that pressure exerted by the bridge member is sufficient to hold each side-rail in place between the inner walls of a display system. Each side rail and the bridge member define an upper surface for supporting a display item.

Shelving unit and display system employing same

A modular display unit that includes a center section having a vertically disposed frame for supporting a series of shelves and a display counter on either side thereof and having cabinets secured to the frame at either end of the end section which also contains a series of shelves and a display counter. The cabinets are secured to the frame by universal fasteners so that the end cabinets can be removed from the frame and mounted in a back-to-back configuration using the universal fasteners. A pair of end walls are also provided for closing both ends of the center section when the cabinets are removed, again employing the universal fasteners.

Modular display case

Apparatus for displaying and dispensing flat objects of different widths from a tray that includes an open top tray having a bottom wall, opposed side walls, a front wall and a back wall. A pair of elongated panels are slidably mounted in the bottom wall of the tray so that they can move along independent paths of travel from the back wall toward the front wall. Wound spring motors urge the panels toward the front wall of the tray so that flat articles of a first width stacked in the tray between one panel and the front wall will be supported in an upright position and the panel will automatically move forward when one of the articles is removed from the tray. The panel can be held in a coplanar side by side relationship by removable connectors whereby articles of greater width can be stacked in the tray.
