An auxiliary exhaust system is provided for releasable attachment to internal combustion engines as are used on electrical generators of recreational vehicles or the like. The auxiliary exhaust system is easy to assemble and disassemble and directs combustion gases which have been cooled by ambient air upwardly to protect the RV occupants and near passersby. The auxiliary exhaust system provides a venturi effect with plastic stack sections which are slidably joined and which are light in weight. Shock cords stabilize the assembled auxiliary exhaust system and prevent noise transmittal from the generator and during adverse weather conditions such as high winds.

A sewer hose connection utilizes a helical clamp which can be manually turned around a convoluted sewer hose placed onto a rigid fitting. The helical clamp is formed from wire and is contained in an annular groove of the fitting. The helical clamp positioned over a typical RV sewer hose end convolution having a wire spiral can be rotated to draw the hose further onto the fitting to form a sealing and mechanical connection.

Fittings are provided for flexible sewage drain hoses to connect recreational vehicles to sewage facilities as may be found in public parks or other locations. The fittings include a shallow groove for storing an elastic ring, and a wider, deeper groove for placing the flexible sewer hose thereover. The ring can be quickly, easily manually dislodged from the storage groove and directed over the end of the hose where it contracts and securely holds the hose onto the fitting within the wide groove.

The disclosure relates to a cross country ski binding having a triple-leaved hinge interconnecting a fixed toeplate and a heelplate detachably connected to the boot heel characterized in that as the boot is bent at the ball of the foot and lifted off the ski carrying with it the heelplate thereby lengthening the distance separating the latter from the toeplate, a yieldable spring-biased connection becomes operative to permit these elements to spread apart without materially retarding or otherwise interfering with the skier's freedom of lifting the boot and setting it back down again to initiate and complete the cross country glide while, at the same time, providing the lateral stability necessary for effectively edging the skis in the downhill mode. The invention also encompasses certain novel features present in a yieldable self-adjusting heel holdown subassembly.
