In one aspect, a first device includes a processor and storage. The storage includes instructions executable by the processor to facilitate a video conference and to segment a camera feed into first video and second video as part of facilitating the video conference. The first video shows a first person but not a second person, the second video shows the second person but not the first person, and the camera feed shows both the first and second people. The instructions are also executable to use the first video and the second video as part of the video conference. This might include transmitting the first and second video to a second device, and/or controlling the display of the second device to concurrently but separately present the first and second video.

In one aspect, a device includes a processor and storage accessible to the processor. The storage includes instructions executable by the processor to determine on which of a first person and a second person to auto-focus using a digital camera, with the determination being based on data that indicates a priority of which person to focus on. Based on the determination, the instructions are executable to control the camera to auto-focus on one of the first and second people and to generate an image using the camera according to the auto-focus.

A computer implemented method, device, and computer program product are provided for monitoring audio/video (A/V) content. During an A/V communications session between a user and a recipient, the method, device and computer program product receive, from a wireless source, A/V content for the user. The A/V content has a baseline quality for at least a portion of the AV communications session. A quality characteristic of interest (COI) associated with the A/V content is monitored. Event-induced signal (EIS) degradation is identified when the quality COI drops below the baseline quality at least one of i) by a predetermined amount or ii) within an event interval. In real-time during the AV communications session, a notification is generated. The notification indicates that the quality COI for the A/V content has degraded.

One apparatus includes a processor and a memory that stores code executable by the processor to determine, in real-time, whether one or more first electronic devices that are compatible with a second electronic device that is low on power are within a predetermined geographic distance of the second electronic device and, in response to determining that one or more first electronic devices that are compatible with the second electronic device are within the predetermined geographic distance of the second electronic device, transmit a request to the one or more first electronic devices inquiring whether any of the one or more first electronic devices are willing to share power with the second electronic device. The system and method determine a pending disruption at the designated environment, and assign at least one of the users as a primary responder to handle the pending disruption based at least in part on the activity of the users. The system and method communication a primary notification to a first electronic device of the electronic devices, with which the primary responder interacts, to notify the primary responder about the pending disruption prior to the pending disruption creating a disturbance at the designated environment.
