Disclosed herein is a method for facilitating creating of music in real time by multiple users, in accordance with some embodiments. Accordingly, the method comprises receiving first music segment selections from a first user device, receiving second music segment selections from a second user device, transmitting the first music segment selections to the second user device, and transmitting the second music segment selections to the first user device. Further, each of the first user device and the second user device is configured for retrieving the first music segments, retrieving the second music segments, determining a universal time, synchronizing the second music segments with the first music segments to a common musical beat based on the universal time, mixing the second music segments with the first music segments based on the synchronizing, and generating a mixed music comprising the first music segments and the second music segments based on the mixing.

Methods, systems, apparatuses, and devices for facilitating the interactive creation of live music by multiple users

A distribution device for use with a vertical casting system includes a body made of a refractory material, which includes a base and a peripheral wall. The base and the peripheral wall enclose a trough for containing and distributing liquid metal. A thermally insulating layer is located in a recess beneath the base. The refractory material of the body has a first thermal conductivity and the thermally insulating layer is made of a material having a second thermal conductivity that is less than the first thermal conductivity.

An impeller system for use in a molten metal pump, the impeller system including a generally cylindrical outer wall with outlets therein, an impeller lid mounted on the impeller walls, the impeller lid including a plurality of inlets, with the shaft being mounted directly into a base, which is mounted relative to the outer wall. A molten metal pump system which generally provides a refractory connection joint for connecting a refractory pump post to a pump base, the pump post including a refractory post with a first end, the first end including an internal joint peg aperture; a refractory base with a post aperture configured to receive the first end of the refractory post, and with a peg aperture contiguous with the post aperture; and a joint peg with a first end and a second end, the joint peg including a retention shoulder, the joint peg configured to insert through the peg aperture in the refractory base with a retention bar or bolt inserted through an aperture in the joint peg of refractory post, and the retention shoulder engaging the refractory base.

An impeller shaft assembly, coupler and molten metal pump are described, in which a coupling member is configured to be secured to a pump drive shaft and includes a socket part that is defined by a socket wall formed about and extending along an axis. The socket wall includes a plurality of coupling shaft engaging surfaces and a plurality of socket corner surfaces joining the shaft engaging surfaces. The socket corner surfaces are disposed radially outward from adjacent shaft engaging surfaces with respect to the axis.

Impeller shaft assembly system

An apparatus and a method configure lithographic plates by cutting corners and bending edges in preparation for use in web offset printing. The lithographic plate is precisely aligned and immobilized on a support bed, which has bending anvils at opposing edges of the bed. A corner die cutter advances into position above a corner of the plate, cuts a corner of the plate and then retracts. An eccentric camming member for bending the plate edges has full bearing supporting ends and additional bearings intermediate the ends. The eccentric camming members lower to the plate and rotate within their bearings to form bends of selected angles in opposing edges of the plate. The eccentric camming members are then counter rotated and raised to their position above the plate. The movements of the corner die cutter and the eccentric camming member are precisely sequenced with each other by programmable logic control.

Prefetches to a cache memory subsystem are made from predictions which are based on access patterns stored by context. An access pattern is generated from prior accesses of a data processing system processing in a like context. During a training sequence, an actual trace of memory accesses is processed to generate unit patterns which serve in making future predictions and to identify statistics such as pattern accuracy for each unit pattern. In a replacement list, prefetched objects are included at the head of the list. Within a prefetch, objects are listed by order of expected time of access, with alternatives at predicted times of access. When an object is used, it is moved to the head of the list and any prefetched alternatives to that object, indicated by like time marks, are moved to the tail of the list. Alternatives may be listed according to degree of match of a current access pattern and a stored access pattern and by prior accuracy of the unit pattern. A server includes a demand access queue which preempts fetches of objects identified by a prefetch queue.
