A secured medicines dispensing device for controlling access to medications includes a housing. A plurality of slats that is coupled to and extends between an annular wall of the housing to define a plurality of compartments. Each of a plurality of lids is positioned in a top of the housing and biased to an open configuration. A power module, a microprocessor and transmitter are coupled to the housing. A screen, which is touch-enabled, and a scanner configured to read a fingerprint of a user are coupled to the top of the housing. The microprocessor is operationally coupled to the power module. The transmitter, the screen, and the scanner are operationally coupled to the microprocessor. A plurality of locks is operationally coupled to the microprocessor. Each lock is coupled to a respective lid and selectively couplable to the housing to secure the lid in a closed configuration.

The present invention provides, in one aspect, an optical device, a method of manufacture therefor, and an optical system including the same. The optical device may include a membrane configured to be electrically deformable and reflective. The membrane may further be positioned over a cavity located within a substrate. The device may additionally include a transmissive spacer coupled to the substrate, and a lens coupled to the transmissive spacer and optically aligned with the membrane.

The present invention provides an optical filter module. In one embodiment, the wavelength locker module includes an optical interferometer or filter, such as an etalon. In addition, the wavelength locker module also includes an electrically nonconductive material having a high thermal conductivity substantially surrounding the etalon.

An optical lens for use with an optical bench. The lens has a diffractive element which provides an angular offset to radiation incident on the lens. The offset substantially compensates for an undesirable focal point location caused by a variance between an integral component position on the bench and a desired position. The lens is particularly useful for an integral component position dictated by the bench crystal structure. In an illustrative embodiment an aspheric diffractive element deflects incident radiation by an amount in the range of about 8&deg; to about 12&deg;. Further disclosed is a method of compensation for variance between an integral component position on a bench and a desired position. Still further disclosed are an optical bench, a method for fabricating an optical bench and a semiconductor device.
