An engagement mechanism for a driver instrument () can comprise a mobile shaft (), a collet () and an angled engagement interface (A-D). The mobile shaft comprises a first shaft portion () located at a proximal end of ON the mobile shaft, a driver portion () located at a distal end of the mobile shaft, and an internal passageway () extending from the proximal end to the distal end. The collet comprises a second shaft portion () disposed within the passageway at co the first shaft portion, and flexible arms (A-D,A-D) extending from the second shaft portion within the driver portion. The angled engagement interface is positioned between the driver portion and the flexible arms, and is configured to permit the driver portion to push or deflect the flexible arms radially inward when the first shaft portion is slid along the second shaft portion. The angled engagement interface can include bearings (A-D) and a frusto-conical contact surface (A-D).

Systems for advancing a pin wire with a driver device

A dermatome having a head, a neck, and a handle. The head of the dermatome may include a main housing at least partially defining a cavity and a removable member that may be configured to removably engage the main housing. The main housing may include one or more features configured to guide the removable member into alignment with the main housing and/or one or more features configured to engage the removable member. The removable member of the dermatome may be made from a different material than the main housing. The neck may include a first portion and a second portion, where the first portion is made from a different material than the second portion. The dermatome may be configured to connect to one or more of a fluid power source, a battery power source, and a wall power source.

Multi-piece dermatome body

A method of cleaning a dermatome includes sealing an inlet fluid path and an outlet fluid path of a valve of the dermatome, the inlet fluid path configured to deliver a pressurized fluid to an interior of the dermatome to power the dermatome when open, and the outlet fluid path configured to expel an exhaust fluid from the interior of the dermatome when open. The method further includes washing the dermatome with the inlet and outlet fluid paths sealed.

Dermatome swivel double action valve

An instrument for facilitating the insertion of a pin or wire into a bone or other structure. The instrument includes a body, a first shaft and a second shaft at least partially positioned within the body, an actuator in communication with the second shaft, a first holding feature, and a second holding feature. The first shaft may include a lumen about a longitudinal axis, with the first shaft being rotatable about the longitudinal axis. The second shaft may be axially mobile and may be positioned at least partially around the first shaft. The first holding feature may be located adjacent a first position along the longitudinal axis and may be able to passively apply a first force to an elongated member received in the lumen. The second holding feature may be capable of applying a second force to the elongated member received in the lumen.

Pin wire driver device

A dermatome having a main body, a blade assembly and a blade guard, where the blade assembly has a blade edge and the blade guard has a base and a fence extending from the base toward the blade assembly so as to face the blade edge. The blade guard may include at least one blade assembly locator to facilitate the alignment of the blade guard with the blade assembly. A blade guard assembled on the blade assembly may operate so as to prevent unintended contact between the blade edge and objects.

Dermatome blade assembly guard

A dermatome having a blade assembly, where the blade assembly includes a blade and a blade mount. The blade may include a blade edge, a reference edge and at least one hole or receiver positioned between the blade edge and the reference edge. The blade mount may include a base, a blade locator extending from the base and at least one reference fence abutting the reference edge of the blade. The blade locator may include a protrusion for inserting into the hole or receiver of the blade. The blade and blade mount of the blade assembly may self align and provide for a simple and permanent connection.

Dermatome blade assembly

A dermatome having a handle and an attachment including a valve, where the valve may include a first bobbin at least partially defining a first flow path and a second flow path, a second bobbin at least partially defining a first flow path, an inlet port at least partially defined by the second bobbin and an outlet port at least partially defined by the first bobbin. The ports of the valve may open in response to an application of a mechanical act to the attachment and the ports may close in response to the absence or removal of the mechanical act.

Dermatome swivel double acting valve

A dermatome having a main body, a blade assembly and a bottom member, where the main body includes a bottom surface and at least one capture extending from the bottom surface. The bottom member may be inserted into the at least one capture and fastened to the main body, where the blade assembly may be mounted between the fastened bottom member and the bottom surface of the main body. The captures of the main body may limit the movement of the inserted bottom member in at least three general directions and the fastener may limit the movement of the bottom member in at least a fourth general direction.

Dermatome with width plate captures

A pneumatic transport system including an up receive/down send customer terminal having a pivot assembly for vertically and pivotally displacing a pneumatic carrier between a vertical position and an angularly disposed presentation position. The customer terminal includes a movable carrier cradle assembly to absorb relatively small impact forces from a vehicle mirror or other moving object. The carrier cradle assembly also includes a break away feature for limiting damage to the customer terminal from greater impact forces. A blower in the customer terminal is operative in pressure and vacuum modes to supply pressure differentials to selectively move the carrier. An up receive/down send operator terminal includes a rotatable door for opening and closing a carrier access opening. A component panel assembly is movable to allow access to terminal components of the operator terminal.
