The system monitors distribution networks, logs pertinent network and distributor information, generates network statistics, gathers evidence of content distribution, and notifies interested parties of the availability of content on file sharing networks.

The disclosed embodiments are directed to a data management system, apparatus and process for uniquely identifying and protecting data. In preferred embodiments, the data management system comprises a data management server, a key generator, a source print generator and a source print detector. Keys are created by the data management system for application to source files to create a fingerprint for the source file. A system and method for tracking media is disclosed. A tracking device package includes a container for shipping media and a tracker coupled to the container wherein access to the media is monitored electronically by the tracker to enable media access. The tracker can be a combination of a GPS system, for determining the location of the media, and a mobile phone for communicating the location to interested parties. The tracker can verify the location of the container and the length of time that the container has been at a particular site. If anomalies are detected with respect to the location and/or the length of time that a container has been located at a particular site, then the tracker can report this information back to the owner of the media being tracked through a central repository and database system.

Embodiments of the invention are directed to a detection system, method and apparatus that identifies and eradicates fraudulent requests on a network. Embodiments of the detection system comprise at least one router, a server, and an activity monitoring system. The activity monitoring system comprises a route arbiter and a traffic analyzer, wherein the route arbiter monitors the activity on the router. The route arbiter continuously monitors the router and firewall device to determine if abnormal activity or traffic patterns are emerging. If a determination is made that abnormal activity or abnormal traffic patterns exist, the activity monitoring system responds by blocking the activity or redirecting the traffic.

A routing system, method, and apparatus for determining the best path for a router to transmit traffic to a specific destination on a network. As desired, the routing determination can be based, at least in part, on an analysis of the network load and an analysis of the availability of links between the autonomous systems.
