The present invention is directed to synbiotic compositions of probiotic strains and prebiotics, along with uses thereof for targeted human and animal applications, for example, in promoting health and well-being and/or treating therapeutic conditions. The present invention is also directed to methods of probiotic selection and detection of strains with the ability to produce neurochemicals in the gastrointestinal tract of a subject, providing a microbial endocrinology-based mechanism and approach for optimization of synbiotic delivery of a probiotic with a neurochemical precursor. Still further the present invention is directed to industrial applications for production of dopamine utilizing methods and media suitable for the same.

Probiotic compositions for production of dopamine

Dopamine producing probiotics to increase immune responses to vaccination and to provide increased immune protection are provided. Also provided are dopamine producing synbiotic compositions, formulations, plants, and synthetic compounds, as well as methods for their use for targeted clinical and veterinary applications, for example, in promoting health and well-being and enhancing vaccine efficacy. Also provided is an approach for optimization of synbiotic delivery of a probiotic or other dopamine producing product with a dopamine precursor to beneficially aid in the use of such products for a variety of conditions and diseases, and particularly in the field of vaccines, whether prophylactic or therapeutic.

Use of dopamine producing products to increase vaccine efficacy

An artificial and/or simulated environment is used to raise a domestic or commercially raised animal to promote a positive health feedback and to minimize stress on the animal. The simulated environment is used to create the façade of a free range or cage free environment, while also minimizing the exposure to inclement weather, potential predators, and other unknown or stress-inducing situations. The results include animals that have higher resistance to diseases and have a lower stress. The artificial environment can be created by projecting or otherwise showing images and/or videos depicting simulation of environments, climate, and/or other unknown situations to normalize the animals to the same.

The present invention is directed to methods of probiotic selection and use based on the capability of microbial biogenic amine uptake as a method for targeted clinical and veterinary applications, including promoting health and well-being and/or treating therapeutic conditions. The present invention utilizes a microbially-focused approach for the development of drug selection and/or probiotic administration in a variety of diseases and disorders.

The composition of the present invention comprises an extract obtained from banana or any member belonging to the genusthat may be used alone or in a growth medium to promote and enhance germination of bacterial spores, growth of bacterial, yeast, and fungal cell cultures.
