The methods, systems, and devices of the present disclosure are directed to a capacitively coupled label antenna as a component in an antenna system comprising the label antenna, a feed block, an antenna coupler, and a gap between the antenna coupler and the feed block. The label antenna is electrically connected to the antenna coupler, and the antenna coupler is capacitively coupled to the feed block through the gap. By the addition of the gap between the feed block and antenna coupler, the label antenna may be placed on the surface of a container without requiring a wired connection to pass through the container. The feed block may be a small electronic component on a circuit board while the label antenna may be significantly larger thereby providing increased frequency bandwidth and an improved antenna radiation pattern.

Capacitively coupled label antenna

A mechanism for connecting a first object, such as a chassis and/or motherboard, to a second object, such as a faceplate and/or daughterboard. A first link may be connected to the first object and a second link may be connected to the second object. The second link may have a slot and the first link may have a pin which is releasably connectable to the slot to form a pivot connecting the first link to the second link. The pin may be releasable from the slot at a first point of travel of the pivot and the pin may not be releasable from the slot at a second point of travel of the pivot. The first link may include a first retaining lobe and the second link may include a second retaining lobe disposed to interlock with the first retaining lobe.

An network interface device (NID) cabinet has removably mounted or fixedly mounted cable spools. The NID cabinet is a small enclosure, typically made of plastic, which sits on the outside wall of an end user's building, such as a home or office. Pre-terminated cables are spooled around each cable spool, and the cable connector at one end of each cable is connected to a network interconnection junction within the NID cabinet. A series of interlocking mounting features are formed on both the cable spool and the mating NID cabinet back wall. Two different types of mounting features enable the cable spool to be removably or fixedly mounted within the NID cabinet. When fixedly mounted, the cable spool can still be removed from the NID cabinet, but only if the spooled cabled is completed un-spooled and removed from the cable spool.

A cylindrical array of tightly spaced optical discs is arranged such that all optical discs in the array share the same axis of symmetry. An optical system is aligned with the optical disc array. The optical system includes a light source, such as a diffuse reflector, and a photo detector, such as a photo detector. The photo detector is aligned to receive either light transmitted through the optical disc array or light reflected off the optical disc array. Illumination directed at the optical disc array results in a pattern of alternating light and dark illuminations, or bands. The photo detector focusing on the cylinder surfaces of the optical discs detects the light/dark transitions and thus enables counting of discrete optical discs.

Optical methods for determining positions of optical discs in tightly packed cylindrical arrays

A cylindrical array of tightly spaced optical discs are each positioned vertically on edge to form a horizontal stack. Lifting a subset of optical discs enables that subset of optical discs to be grasped by their perimeters with much more room for robotic grippers between adjacent optical discs. An optical disc storage container includes a molded tray for vertically aligning a plurality of optical discs into the cylindrical array. The molded tray includes a bottom surface and side surfaces to support the optical discs and one or more openings formed in the bottom surface. A lifting mechanism is positioned along the one or more openings and is configured to lift the subset of optical discs a short distance relative to the remaining optical discs in the array, thereby enabling robotic grippers to grab the portion of the lifted optical disc protruding from the non-lifted optical disc array.

Method for selecting individual discs from tightly spaced array of optical discs

A flexible container and method for its manufacture, the container provided for housing an electronic device. e.g. a printed circuit board. The container has a laminate wall with a dielectric layer facing into a chamber defined by the container, and an EMI protection layer surrounding the dielectric layer. An opening is provided to the chamber to accept the electronic device and a wall region of the container holds electrically conductive elements which are isolated from each other and from the EMI protection layer. The conductive elements connect conductors on the inside of the chamber to conductors outside the container. The wall region is conveniently provided by a preformed panel which bridges a container aperture. An assembly of electronic device and container is also provided. A common opening may be provided for device acceptance and for location of the preformed panel. Also, instead of the conductive elements in the panel, insulated conductor wires extend from the electronic device, through and in sealing engagement with the panel, to extend beyond the container.
