A pedestrian warning system for a work vehicle at a worksite that includes a sensor system that captures images of an identified target located at the worksite. An electronic data processor is communicatively coupled to the sensor system, and the electronic data processor determines whether the identified target from the captured image is an intended target based on one or more identifying characteristics associated with the identified target. When the intended target is identified, an alert directed to the intended target is generated that includes operation of one or more lights mounted on the work vehicle. The one or more lights operate in a light spectrum range that is not visible by the sensor system. The sensor system may include an optical filter to block light that corresponds to the light spectrum range of the one or more lights. The lights may operate in a strobing function.

A stability control system identifies an actionable condition, such as instability, in an off-road mobile machine, based upon an in-rubber tire sensor. A remedial action is identified, and a control signal is generated to control the mobile machine to take the remedial action.

A rotary heat exchanger includes a hub configured to be rotatably driven by a shaft, a fan including a plurality of fan blades integrally coupled to the hub and extending radially outwardly therefrom, and a heat exchanger including a plurality of heat exchanger sections. The heat exchanger includes a plurality of cooling fins for receiving air from the fan. Each of the plurality of heat exchanger sections is located between two of the plurality of fan blades. The hub, the fan, and the heat exchanger are integrally formed as a single body by a three-dimensional printing process.

A mobile work machine includes a frame; ground engaging elements movably supported by the frame and driven by a power source to drive movement of the machine; a moveable element movably supported by the frame to move relative to the frame; an actuator coupled to the moveable element to controllably drive movement of the moveable element; a control system that generates an actuator control signal, indicative of a commanded movement of the actuator, and provides the actuator control signal to the actuator to control the actuator to perform the commanded movement; a terrain identifier configured to identify a characteristic of terrain in a geographic area around the machine; and a stability system that determines whether the commanded movement will result in an unstable state of the machine based on the characteristic of the terrain and, if so, generates a restriction signal, restricting the commanded movement to avoid the unstable state.

A worksite classification system and method for classifying persons at a worksite is disclosed. The worksite classification system can include a sensor system configured to capture images of persons located at the worksite. An electronic data processor communicatively coupled to the sensor system and comprising a computer readable storage medium having machine readable instructions that, when executed by the electronic data processor, cause the processor to: determine an identity of the persons based on one or more identifying characteristics associated with the persons; determine if the persons have authorization access to enter to one or more operational zones at the worksite based on the identity of the persons and an associated access level; and generate an alert notifying an operator when persons without authorization access enters the one or more operational zones.

A method of controlling a mobile machine having a set of ground engaging elements includes receiving an image of terrain proximate the mobile machine, detecting a contour of the terrain, determining a projected path of the set of ground engaging elements based on the detected contour of the terrain, and controlling a display device to display the image with an overlay representing the projected path of the ground engaging elements.

Systems and methods disclosed herein provide probabilistic decision support regarding detected obstacles in a working area. Real-time data sets are collected from obstacle sensors associated with at least one self-propelled work vehicle, corresponding to detected presence/absence of obstacles at given locations within the working area. The received real-time data sets are integrated in data storage comprising a priori data sets corresponding to the working area, to generate one or more new a priori data sets. Probabilities are determined for the detected presence or absence of the obstacle, and for each of one or more obstacle categories, based on the received real-time data set and at least an a priori data set corresponding to the work vehicle's location. An output corresponding to at least a most likely of the determined probabilities is generated as feedback to a user interface, and/or relevant machine control units.

A robotic machine includes at least one sensor coupled to the robotic machine configured to generate a signal indicative of a worksurface for which a worksurface operation is to be conducted. The robotic machine also includes a machine and robotic control system configured to receive the signal indicative of the worksurface, identify the worksurface operation to be conducted, and generate control signals for an end effector of the robotic machine to carry out the identified worksurface operation.

A method and system of position determination of an implement on a work vehicle. The method includes determining a position of a first radio frequency (RF) device relative to a local reference frame using ultra-wideband ranging between the first RF device and at least one additional RF device. The first RF device is coupled to a fixed location on the implement, and the additional RF device is mounted at a fixed location relative to the local reference frame. The implement is controllably movable relative to the local reference frame. A position and orientated of the implement is determined relative to the local reference frame based at least in part on the determined position of the first RF device relative to the local reference frame.

Ultra-wideband radio frequency tracking for determining and controlling positioning error of an implement on a work vehicle

An electric drive system for mechanical machinery. The electric drive system includes a first electrical bus and a second electrical bus each configured to operate at different voltages. A first generator is configured to provide electric current to the first electrical bus at a first voltage. A second generator is configured to provide electric current to the second electrical bus at a second voltage that is different from the first voltage. A first electric motor is coupled to the first electrical bus and configured to operate on electrical power from the first electrical bus at the first voltage. A second electric motor is coupled to the second electrical bus and configured to operate on electrical power from the second electrical bus at the second voltage. Mechanical power used to drive the mechanical machinery is generated by both the first electric motor and the second electric motor.

An isolation system for a vehicle having a rear frame attached to a front frame. The rear frame supports a greater portion of a total force applied to the vehicle than the front frame. The isolation system includes at least one isolating device positioned between the rear and front frames. The isolating device supports a portion of the total force applied to the vehicle in a direction in which the isolating devices is positioned. The isolation system includes a force limiting device positioned near the isolating device and a motion limiting torque rod attached to the rear and front frames. The force limiting device limits the amount of load applied to the isolating device above a maximum load. The motion limiting torque rod prevents or limits movement of the rear frame relative to the front frame in the direction in which it is aligned.

An excavator operating cycle is detected, and a load sensor senses a physical characteristic of a load moved during the operating cycle. The location where the load is moved to is also sensed. An amount of material moved over a set of operating cycles is determined, and an action signal is generated to control the excavator based upon the calculated amount of material.
