A meter electronics () for using a Reynolds number to correct a mass flow rate measurement of a fluid is provided. The meter electronics () comprises an interface () configured to communicatively couple to a sensor assembly () containing the fluid and receive sensor signals from the sensor assembly () and a processing system () communicatively coupled to the interface (). The processing system () is configured to store a Reynolds number-correction relationship, wherein the Reynolds number-correction relationship relates Reynolds number values with Reynolds number-based correction values, calculate a Reynolds number of the fluid using a measured mass flow rate value of the fluid, and determine a Reynolds number-based correction value using the Reynolds number and the Reynolds number-correction relationship.

A meter electronics () and a method for detecting and identifying a change in a vibratory meter () is provided. The meter electronics () includes an interface () configured to receive sensor signals () from a meter assembly () and provide information based on the sensor signals () and a processing system () communicatively coupled to the interface (). The processing system () is configured to use the information to determine a first stiffness change () associated with a first location of a conduit (') of the vibratory meter (), determine a second stiffness change () associated with a second location of the conduit (&#x2032;) of the vibratory meter (), and determine a condition of the conduit (&#x2032;) based on the first stiffness change and the second stiffness change.

A system (800) for minimizing a crest in a multi-tone drive signal in a vibratory meter (5) is provided. The system (800) includes a drive signal generator (810) configured to generate the multi-tone drive signal for the vibratory meter (5) and a drive signal detector (820). The drive signal detector (820) is configured to receive the multi-tone drive signal, determine a first maximum amplitude of the multi-tone drive signal having a component at a first phase, determine a second maximum amplitude of the multi-tone drive signal having the component at a second phase, and compare the first maximum amplitude and the second maximum amplitude.

In examples, at least one fluid channel has an effective diameter that is related to velocity of sound and drive velocity. In further examples, the driver may apply a drive signal to the driver having a drive frequency proportional to the velocity of sound and effective diameter.

A vibratory cavity density meter (-) is provided. The vibratory cavity density meter (-) includes a pipe (-) extending from a first end (-) to a second end (-). The first end (-) includes an aperture (-) configured to receive a material from a container () and the second end (-) is self-enclosed so as to contain the material in the pipe (-). The vibratory cavity density meter (-) also includes at least one transducer () coupled to the pipe (-), the at least one transducer () configured to one of induce and sense a vibration in the pipe (-) to measure a property of the material.

A method for calculating a fluid parameter of a fluid flowing through a vibratory flow meter is provided. The method comprises vibrating the flow meter at one or more frequencies and receiving a vibrational response. The method further comprises generating a first fluid property and generating at least a second fluid property. The method further comprises calculating a fluid parameter based on the first fluid property and the at least second fluid property.

A method for calibrating a multiple flow conduit flow meter () is provided according to an embodiment of the invention. A method for determining a lateral mode stiffness of one or more fluid tubes (A,B) in a vibrating meter () is provided. The method comprises a step of vibrating at least one of the one or more fluid tubes (A,B) in a drive mode vibration. Drive mode sensor signals () are received based on a vibrational response to the drive mode vibration. At least one of the one or more fluid tubes (A,B) is vibrated in a lateral mode vibration, wherein the lateral mode is approximately perpendicular to the drive mode.
