In some implementations, a bushing may include a cylindrical body having an at least partially annular configuration. The cylindrical body may define a radial axis and may include an inner circumferential surface, an outer circumferential surface, a first end, and a second end. The inner circumferential surface may be configured to rotatably receive an outer surface of a pin of a track link joint. The outer circumferential surface may be configured to be rotatably received within a first counterbore of a first track link of the track link joint. The bushing may include at least one groove extending radially into the outer circumferential surface around the radial axis. The at least one groove may be configured to receive a first seal of the track link joint. The first seal may form a first radial seal between the outer circumferential surface and a first inner surface of the first counterbore.

Radial seal for a track link joint

A seal includes an annular body defining a radial direction, an axial direction, and a circumferential direction; and further defines a cross-sectional area including a perimeter. The perimeter may comprise a first axial extremity, a second axial extremity, an outer radial extremity, and an inner radial extremity. The perimeter may include a first axial extremity defining surface and a second axial extremity defining surface, a first concave arcuate surface interposed between the inner radial extremity and the second axial extremity, and a second concave arcuate surface interposed between the outer radial extremity and the second axial extremity.

Lip seal

A sealing comprises a seal portion and a plate portion fixed to the seal portion. The seal portion can have an undulating configuration of at least one peak and at least one valley, and the plate portion can circumferentially surround the seal portion. The seal portion can be made of a first material and the plate portion can be made of a second material more rigid than the first material. The seal portion can have a radially inward facing contact surface that defines a central opening of the sealing.

Seal having undulating seal component and systems, assemblies, and methods thereof

A seal assembly can be incorporated into a track joint assembly of an undercarriage of a track-type machine. The track joint can have a first member pivotable about a rotational axis relative to a second member thereof. The first member includes a seal member engagement surface defining, at least in part, an axially-extending seal cavity about the rotational axis and within which the seal assembly is disposed. The seal assembly can include a thrust ring and a seal member mounted to the thrust ring. The seal member includes a first member engagement surface, a second member engagement surface, a frusto-conical inner relief surface, a thrust ring engagement surface, and an outer relief surface.

Seal assembly for track joint assembly of undercarriage

A seal assembly can be incorporated into a track pin joint assembly including a pin defining a longitudinal axis, a first member and a second member both coaxial with the pin about the longitudinal axis. The first member is pivotable about the longitudinal axis with respect to the second member and includes a load ring engagement surface defining, at least in part, an axially-extending seal cavity disposed in proximal relationship to the second member. A seal assembly including a seal ring and a load ring is disposed in the seal cavity and sealingly engages the first member and the second member. The load ring includes a main body and a neck having a neck perimeter with a first sealing blade disposed along the neck perimeter and comprising an outwardly-extending projection. The first sealing blade is adapted to sealingly engage one of the seal ring and the first member.

Seal assembly for track pin joint assembly of undercarriage

A seal assembly can be incorporated into a track pin cartridge assembly of an undercarriage of a track-type machine. The seal assembly can include a pin defining a longitudinal axis and first and second members both coaxial with the pin about the longitudinal axis. The first member is pivotable about the longitudinal axis with respect to the second member and includes a load ring engagement surface defining a seal cavity disposed in proximal relationship to the second member. A seal assembly, including a seal ring and a load ring, is disposed in the seal cavity and sealingly engages the first and second members. A radial segment of a first member engagement surface of the load ring is radially offset, measured along a radial axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, from a radial segment of a seal ring engagement surface of the load ring.

A seal assembly can be incorporated into a track pin joint assembly including a pin defining a longitudinal axis, a first member and a second member both coaxial with the pin about the longitudinal axis. The first member is pivotable about the longitudinal axis with respect to the second member and includes a load ring engagement surface defining a seal cavity disposed in proximal relationship to the second member. A seal assembly including a seal ring and a load ring is disposed in the seal cavity and sealingly engages the first and second members. An axial segment of a seal ring engagement surface of the load ring extends over at least half the length, measured along the longitudinal axis, between a radial segment of the seal ring engagement surface and a radial segment of a first member engagement surface of the load ring. At least one of a load ring engagement surface of the first member and an axial segment of the first member engagement surface of the load ring includes a convex rounded portion.

Seal assembly for track pin joint assembly

A seal assembly can be incorporated into a track pin joint assembly including a pin defining a longitudinal axis, a first member and a second member both coaxial with the pin about the longitudinal axis. The first member is pivotable about the longitudinal axis with respect to the second member and includes a load ring engagement surface defining, at least in part, an axially-extending seal cavity disposed in proximal relationship to the second member. A seal assembly including a seal ring and a load ring is disposed in the seal cavity and sealingly engages the first member and the second member. At least one of a load ring engagement surface of the first member and an axial segment of a first member engagement surface of the load ring includes a convex rounded portion extending over at least half the axial length thereof.

A unidirectional rod sealing ring adapted for forming a sealed condition in association with a member such as a piston rod or shaft axially movable in a bore of a hydraulic cylinder, the sealing ring including an elastomeric ring member having an axially facing sealing face, an opposite axially facing pressure face, a circumferential radial outer surface, and a circumferential radial inner surface, the elastomeric ring member being cooperatively receivable in an annular groove around the bore of a hydraulic cylinder with the sealing face in position in opposed relation to a first axial groove wall, and the pressure face positioned in opposed relation to an opposite second groove wall, the sealing face including at least one continuous annular bead of relatively small radial extent positioned for sealably engaging the first axial groove wall, and the radial inner surface including an inner most circumferential lip of relatively small axial extent positioned for circumferential sealed engagement with the member axially movable in the bore.

Unidirectional rod sealing ring for a hydraulic cylinder

A wiper seal is disclosed which includes an elastomeric member having a metal support member adhesively bonded thereto. The elastomeric member has a first substantially flat surface that is perpendicular to a reference axis of the wiper seal, an outer peripheral surface that is substantially parallel with the reference axis, and an inner peripheral surface that forms an acute angle with the reference axis. The metal support member has a first leg portion that coincides with the outer peripheral surface and a second leg portion that coincides with the substantially flat perpendicular surface. The intersection of the first and second leg portions forms a generally sharp corner or at least a predetermined minimum radius size. When the wiper seal is installed in a recess of a housing, the substantially flat perpendicular surface is generally flush with the surface of the housing adjacent the recess to substantially eliminate recesses or pockets that could retain dirt and/or other contaminants.

Shaft wiper seal

A buffer seal is provided and adapted to absorb high pressures. The buffer seal includes a body portion and a sealing portion with a backup ring disposed in a groove adjacent to the sealing portion. The sealing portion has a first surface that is perpendicular to a reference axis of the buffer seal and a second surface that forms an acute angle with the reference axis, preferably less than thirty degrees. The first surface of the sealing portion extends axially from the body portion to form a shoulder. The shoulder functions during use to provide a surface that pressurized fluid can act against to urge the sealing portion against a shaft.

Buffer seal

A continuous compression ring and a continuous oil control ring for a piston reciprocally operable in a combustion cylinder of an IC engine, the continuous compression ring being cooperatively receivable in a groove extending around the piston and having a generally G-shaped cross-sectional shape including a circumferentially extending lip positioned to be located radially outwardly of a cylindrical outer surface extending around the piston, the lip adapted for forming a substantially sealed condition around the piston in cooperation with an oil film on the combustion cylinder wall, the continuous oil control ring being cooperatively receivable in another groove extending around the piston and having a generally n-shaped cross-sectional shape including a circumferentially extending leg portion adapted to be positioned radially outwardly of the outer surface of the piston around the piston for scraping the oil film on the combustion cylinder wall during the reciprocal operation of the piston in the combustion cylinder, and a piston construction adapted to facilitate installation of the continuous compression ring and continuous oil control ring around the piston.

Continuous piston rings for an internal combustion engine

A rod scraper for hydraulic cylinders and the like is disclosed which includes an elastomeric ring member having an inner surface defining a central aperture adapted for receiving a rod for axial movement relative thereto, the inner surface including a scraper portion having an inner most circumferential lip positioned adjacent one end of the elastomeric seal member for scraping the rod, the elastomeric ring member further having a curved outer surface portion generally axially coextensive with the scraper portion, and a metallic backing ring affixed in overlaying relation to at least a substantial portion of the curved outer surface portion of the elastomeric ring member, the backing ring being resiliently biased against the curved outer surface portion to urge the lip of the elastomeric ring member against the rod and sufficiently flexible to allow some radial movement of the rod while maintaining the lip in circumferential contact with the rod.

Rod scraper

A piston having a body member made from plastic material adapted for mounting to a piston rod for axial movement with the piston rod in a hydraulic cylinder under high working pressure conditions is disclosed. The plastic piston body member has a first axial end portion, an opposite second axial end portion, an outer circumferential surface portion adapted to be located in intimate relation with a cylinder wall of the hydraulic cylinder when the piston is positioned for axial movement therein, and an inner peripheral surface portion defining a centrally located axially extending aperture through the body member adapted for cooperatively receiving a mounting portion of the piston rod, one of the axial end portions being positioned to abut an adjacent shoulder of the piston rod when the mounting portion of the piston rod is located in a fully received position in the aperture. When the mounting portion of the piston rod is in the fully received position in the aperture of the body member, the inner peripheral surface portion of the body member is adapted to be located in intimate relation with an outer mounting surface of the mounting portion, and the body member is cooperatively engageable with a retainer for securing the body member to the piston rod.

Piston

An end-of-stroke bidirectional snubber for a suspension cylinder includes an elongate snubber element having a first flow regulating end portion co-acting with an annular edge for gradually restricting fluid flow from a head end chamber as the piston approaches an end wall of a casing to snub end-of-stroke retraction motion of a piston rod. The snubber element also has a second flow regulating end portion which coacts with a radial passage for gradually restricting fluid flow from a rod end chamber as the piston approaches an end of cap to snub end-of-stroke extension motion of the piston rod.
