Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed toward an air diffuser that includes a mounting plate having an opening in a center portion of the mounting plate, where the opening is configured to be coupled to ductwork, a low flow adapter coupled to the mounting plate and disposed over the opening, where the low flow adapter includes extruded nozzles configured to increase a velocity and induction of air flow directed toward an interior space, and where the extruded nozzles are disposed at an angle with respect to a horizontal plane defined by the center portion of the mounting plate, and a diffusion plate coupled to the mounting plate, such that the low flow adapter is positioned between the mounting plate and the diffusion plate.

Air diffuser

An air diffuser for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a variable flow adapter including a housing and an actuator configured to transition between actuation states based on an air flow parameter in the housing. The air diffuser includes a first plurality of nozzles disposed in the housing and defining a first set of flow paths from an interior of the housing to an exterior of the housing. Additionally, the air diffuser includes a second plurality of nozzles disposed in the housing and defining a second set of flow paths from the interior of the housing to an exterior of the housing. The air diffuser also includes a valve system configured to be actuated by the actuator to control air flow through the second set of flow paths of the second plurality of nozzles.

Variable flow adapters for air diffusers of HVAC systems

An air diffuser configured to be positioned in a raised floor, in which the air diffuser includes a sleeve having a first end and a second end with an air flow passage extending through the sleeve from the first end to the second end, a diffuser face disposed at the first end of the sleeve and configured to be exposed to an environment in an installed position within the raised floor, a damper disposed at the second end of the sleeve, and a plenum chamber defined within the sleeve between the damper and the diffuser face.

The blade includes a length along which a leading edge of the blade extends, where the leading edge is configured to face an air flow. The blade also includes a width extending transverse to the length between the leading edge and a trailing edge of the blade, and including a curved profile extending along a majority of the width. The blade also includes an undulated contour extending along the leading edge and into and out of the width.

A round or rectangular ceiling diffuser includes a blade. The blade includes a leading edge configured to face an incoming air flow and having an undulated contour extending along a closed-loop formed by the blade. The blade also includes a trailing edge opposite to the leading edge, where a width of the blade extends from the leading edge to the trailing edge and the undulated contour extends into and out of the width.

Undulated surface enhancement of diffuser blades for round and rectangular ceiling diffuser

An air diffuser for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a variable flow adapter including a plurality of nozzles and a damper. The variable flow adapter is configured to receive conditioned air from the HVAC system. The air diffuser also includes an actuator coupled to the damper and configured to actuate the damper between a first configuration and a second configuration. The damper is configured to block the conditioned air from passing therethrough and direct the conditioned air through the plurality of nozzles in the first configuration. Additionally, the damper is configured to open to direct the conditioned air therethrough in the second configuration.
