A method and apparatus for providing residential care and health is disclosed. The method includes providing a residential unit which is transported to a location proximate a residence of a primary health provider. The residential unit is then positioned on a plurality of height adjustable pads which function to retain the residential unit in place and substantially restrict any horizontal movement of the residential unit relative to the underlying ground. The resident is then introduced into the residential unit. The unit is fitted with telemetric monitoring equipment adapted to monitor and relay information regarding the resident's health, vital signs, movement to a remotely located care provider. Upon the resident obtaining a condition which no longer requires the monitoring of his health and vital signs, the residential unit is transported away from the location. The residential unit includes a metal frame coupled to an enclosure which defines an interior and an air-sealed door which accesses the interior.

Method and apparatus for providing residential housing assisted care and preventative healthcare

An obturator assembly includes an obturator positionable within a lumen of a device and movable within the lumen between a first position and a second position. The obturator includes a distal tip portion, wherein, with the obturator in the first position, the distal tip portion limits fluid communication through the lumen and, with the obturator in the second position, the distal tip portion provides fluid communication through the lumen.

Obturator assembly with selectively controllable fluid flow path

A smart obturator assembly includes a hub forming a central passage. The hub is configured to couple to a proximal end of a device that forms a lumen such that the central passage is in fluid communication with the lumen. A collar on the hub includes electronic circuitry in signal communication with remote reception circuitry. An obturator is movably positionable within the lumen. The obturator is movable within the lumen between a first position and a second position. The obturator includes a distal end and a sensor at the distal end. The sensor is configured to sense an environmental characteristic within a patient's blood stream, generate a signal representative of the environmental characteristic, and transmit the signal to the electronic circuitry. The electronic circuitry is configured to receive the signal and transmit the signal to the remote reception circuitry.

Smart obturator assembly

An obturator assembly includes an obturator at least partially positionable within a lumen of a device. The obturator has a distal end with a tip portion and an opposing proximal end. A sensor assembly is at the tip portion. The sensor assembly is configured to sense one or more environmental characteristics and to generate one or more signals representative of the one or more environmental characteristics. A hub is operatively coupled to the obturator. The hub is also operatively coupled to electronic circuitry that is coupled in signal communication with the sensor assembly. In certain embodiments, the electronic circuitry is configured to receive the one or more signals from the sensor assembly and transmit the one or more signals to remote reception circuitry and/or display a datum representative of the one or more environmental characteristics on a display of the hub.

Smart obturator with sensor and smart obturator assembly

A typography system modifies the shape of a subject character in a line of text based on neighboring characters to the left and right of the subject character. At least one font definition file comprises a plurality of character definitions that each represents one of the characters in the font. Each character definition includes a plurality of alternate forms that are each associated with at least one left neighboring character and at least one right neighboring character. A font adjustment module receives as an input a character to be output, at least one left neighboring character, and at least one right neighboring character. The font adjustment module then selects from the plurality of alternate forms a selected form that is associated with the at least one left neighboring character and the at least one right neighboring character. The font adjustment module then outputs the selected form of the character.

Method of automated typographical character modification based on neighboring characters

In some examples, a method of regulating a temperature of a printhead includes charging, in a first state of a temperature regulator, an analog memory to a reference voltage that corresponds to a predetermined temperature of the printhead. The temperature regulator monitors, during a second state, the temperature of the printhead, the monitoring including measuring a thermal voltage representing an actual temperature of at least a first local area of a plurality of local areas of the printhead, and comparing, with a comparator, the reference voltage to the thermal voltage to obtain a comparison result for at least the first local area. Based on the comparison result, a series of warming pulses from a warming pulse circuit to at least the first local area is selectively enabled.

Method and apparatus to regulate temperature of printheads

An apparatus including an analog memory, a temperature sensor, a comparator, and a pulse circuit. The analog memory is charged to a reference voltage corresponding to a predetermined temperature of a printhead. The temperature sensor measures a thermal voltage of at least one of the plurality of local areas of the printhead. The comparator obtains a comparison result by comparing the reference voltage to the thermal voltage. The pulse circuit selectively transmits a series of warming pulses to the at least one of the plurality of local areas of the printhead based on the comparison result.

Determining an issue in an inkjet nozzle may include activating a drive bubble formation mechanism in an ink chamber to eject an ink droplet through the inkjet nozzle and measuring the drive bubble in the ink chamber after the drive bubble formation mechanism is activated.

Inkjet issue determination

A fluid ejection assembly includes a fluid slot formed in a die. The assembly also includes a nozzle column is formed along a side of the fluid slot. The assembly also includes a pair of thermal sensors to measure die temperature at the middle of the nozzle column and at a first end of the nozzle column.

A method and apparatus supply electrical current to a firing actuator of a printhead die across a high side switching transistor in a source follower arrangement and supply a regulated voltage, that is no greater than a concurrent voltage at a drain of the HSS transistor, to a gate of the high side switching transistor.

Firing actuator power supply system

Electronic circuitry compensates for variations or sags in electrical voltage within a thermal ink-jetting (TIJ) printing apparatus. Ground potential and other supply-related voltages are monitored and corresponding signals are provided. The signals are used, directly or by other circuitry, to affect the biasing of one or more transistors coupling TIJ resistors to supply voltage or ground nodes. Printing errors and related problems associated with voltage variations are reduced or eliminated accordingly.

A method and apparatus for controlling a gap between conductors in an electro-mechanical device by controlled displacement of a displaceable conductor within the electro-mechanical device is provided. The apparatus includes a current controller configured to generate a controlled current output for the electro-mechanical device in response to a control signal, the current controller selectively routing a voltage to an array element including control circuitry and the electro-mechanical device.
