A method of manufacturing a radial bearing assembly having a bearing surface created from a plurality of spherical bearing inserts positioned within insert retainer channels extending diagonally along the length of the bearing sleeve. The method of manufacture includes providing insert retainer channels having a curved bottom surface. The method of manufacture utilizes a mold for simultaneously brazing and bonding the spherical bearing inserts to the surface of the bearing sleeve.

Spherical bearing insert rotary bearing and method of manufacture

A radial bearing assembly and method of manufacture that provides a radial bearing assembly having a plurality of spherical bearing inserts, such as ball-shaped carbide inserts, bonded to a bearing sleeve. The bearing sleeve may include insert retainer channels, including insert retainer channels that extend diagonally or in a helical or spiral path along the length of the bearing sleeve. The method of manufacture utilizes a mold for simultaneously brazing and bonding the spherical bearing inserts to the surface of the bearing sleeve.

A peripheral artery disease event for a patient is determined based on a quantative measure of blood flow in the extremities based on the differential in amplitude in the pleth signal between the arm and the two lower extremities. The changes in amplitude from the arm and one or both lower extremities can indicate PAD.

A mobile plethysmographic device for detecting a premature ventricular contraction event is disclosed herein. The mobile plethysmographic device generates a pleth waveform, which is automatically screened by algorithms that measure the waveform to correlate, detect and store aberrations related to heart anomalies. A premature ventricular contraction event for a patient is determined based on an identification of a time interval of the pleth waveform that is below the threshold minimum time interval followed immediately by a time interval that is above the threshold maximum tine interval.

A monitoring device with a pedometer is disclosed herein. The monitoring device preferably comprises an article, an optical sensor, an accelerometer and processor. The optical sensor preferably comprises a photodetector and a plurality of light emitting diodes. The optical sensor includes a light barrier that includes multiple walls that block any non-reflected light from the LEDs from transmission to the photodetector so that the photodetector only receives light reflected from the artery of the user resulting in a more accurate detection of the heart rate of the user. A sensor signal from the optical sensor is processed with an accelerometer output signal from the accelerometer to generate a real-time vital sign for a user.
