Disclosed embodiments provide a pressure field stimulation device having an arm adaptable in shape. Embodiments of the improved stimulation device include a cup, a driver, and an arm. The arm is flexible in such a way that it holds its position when bent. The adaptable arm may be a handle, a member insertable into the vagina or rectum, or a connection member between the pressure field stimulator and another stimulator. In use, a user positions a rim of the cup such that an opening to the cavity is over an area to be stimulated (e.g., the clitoris). A sealed-, or substantially-sealed, chamber is formed by the cavity walls and the user's skin (surrounding the clitoris). A pressure field is generated in the chamber, providing sexual stimulation to the clitoris. The user can adjust the placement of the cup by bending the arm.

Disclosed embodiments provide an improved personal massager device. The massager device includes a stimulator, which is G-spot stimulator or a prostate stimulator. The stimulator includes an enclosure having an opening. A threaded post is disposed within the enclosure. The threaded post has a plurality of pitched threads. A roller is disposed within the plurality of pitched threads. The roller protrudes outside the opening of the enclosure. The threaded post is rotated back and forth by a motor, and as it does so, the roller traverses a path. A sheath is disposed tightly over the enclosure. The roller presses the sheath against the G-spot or prostate of the user, providing stimulation. In some embodiments, one or more of a start position of the roller and an end position of the roller are defined by user input.

Embodiments of the improved stimulation device include a cup and a driver. The cup has a cavity surrounded by a rim. The driver comprises a plate disposed on an underside of the cup, a cam disposed adjacent to the plate, and a motor mechanically coupled to the cam. The driver is configured to intermittently vary a volume of the cavity of the cup from a first volume to a second volume without returning the cup from the second volume to the first volume. In some embodiments, the cup returns from the second volume to the first volume, in between intermittent varying from the first volume to the second volume, due to the resilient nature of the material of the cup and/or the configuration of the cup. This varying of the volume between the first and second volumes creates a pressure field in a chamber formed by the cavity and a user's skin.

Disclosed embodiments provide a massager having at least one expandable chamber. In some embodiments, there is provided an expandable shaft chamber that is inflatable to push a stimulator towards the G-spot of the user to increase contact pressure in that area. This inflation can also allow for a hands-free experience by expanding the width of the shaft inside the vagina for a snug fit tight against the vaginal or rectum walls. In some embodiments, there is provided an expandable ring chamber that is inflatable to securely hold a massager device inside the vagina or rectum, allowing for a hands-free experience.

Embodiments of the present invention relate to an improved stimulation device. Embodiments of the improved stimulation device includes a cup and a driver. The cup has a cavity surrounded by a rim. The driver comprises a plate disposed on an underside of the cup, a cam disposed adjacent to the plate, and a motor mechanically coupled to the cam. The driver comprises a cam pin affixed to the cam, and a bearing rotatably disposed on the cam pin. The bearing is mechanically coupled to a lifter. The lifter is mechanically coupled to a linear bearing, enabling a smooth reciprocating back-and-forth motion from the rotation of the motor. A top of the cup swells and unswells during an operation cycle of the driver.

Disclosed embodiments provide an improved stimulation device, including a cup and a driver. The cup has a cavity surrounded by a rim. In use, a user positions the rim such that an opening to the cavity is over an area to be stimulated (for example, the clitoris). A sealed- or substantially-sealed, chamber is formed by the cavity walls and the user's skin (surrounding the clitoris). A driver is configured to vary a volume of a cavity of a cup from a first volume to a second volume. The cup returns from the second volume to the first volume, in between intermittent varying from the first volume to the second volume, due to a buckle region wall of the cup springing out. The varying of the volume creates a pressure field in the chamber. The springing out produces a 'thud' force, also used interchangeably with 'thump' force.

Embodiments of the invention relate to a pressure field stimulation device including a sheath having an integrated cup. The sheath and cup are together formed of (or consist of) a single piece of material. The pressure field stimulator has a cup and a driver, where the driver is configured to vary a volume of the cup. The pressure field stimulator has a housing that has an opening therein with an edge on which a portion of the cup rests when installed. The sheath is tightly bound to the housing such that a driver can make contact with the cup. In some embodiments, the pressure field stimulator has a shaft portion, which may include a second stimulation device. The sheath can be bound over the shaft portion as well as the pressure field stimulator housing.

Disclosed embodiments provide an improved stimulation device. Embodiments of the improved stimulation device include a cup and a driver. The cup has a cavity surrounded by a rim. In use, a user positions the rim such that an opening to the cavity is over an area to be stimulated (for example, the clitoris). A sealed-, or substantially-sealed, chamber is formed by the cavity walls and the user's skin (surrounding the clitoris). A pressure field is generated in the chamber without generating a pressure below a reference pressure, which is gauge pressure reading of zero. In some embodiments, this is achieved by a driver configured to vary a volume of the cavity in such a way that the varied volume is not larger than an initial volume. In some embodiments, the stimulation device is a sex toy. In some embodiments, the stimulation device is a medical device.

Embodiments of the invention relate to a device including a pressure field stimulator and a roller massager. The pressure field stimulator has a cup and a driver, where the driver is configured to vary a volume of the cup. The roller massager comprises a flexible sheath and a roller disposed adjacent the flexible sheath. In some embodiments, an enclosure is disposed around the roller where the enclosure includes an opening through which the roller protrudes. In some embodiments, the roller is disposed on a threaded shaft, mechanically coupled to a motor, within the enclosure. The sheath is tightly bound to the enclosure such that the roller presses on the sheath.

A groove forming process for forming at least one groove pattern on the outer diameter of a shaft for use in a hydrodynamic bearing of a spindle motor. First, the shaft is inserted between a pair of dies, at least one of which has a groove pattern thereon. Next, the shaft is positioned so that it is perpendicular to the groove pattern and at one end of the groove pattern. By lowering the upper die, the shaft is clasped between the dies. The shaft is then rolled in a first direction over the groove pattern by simultaneously applying pressure in a vertical direction and applying pressure in a first horizontal direction to one of the pair of dies so that the shaft rolls in the first direction. The shaft is then rolled in a second direction over the groove pattern by simultaneously applying pressure in a vertical direction and applying pressure in a second horizontal direction to one of the pair of dies so that the shaft rolls in the second direction. The steps of rolling the shaft in the first and second directions is then repeated until the groove pattern is formed on the outer diameter of the shaft. Then the shaft may be released from between the dies by raising the upper die. At this point the shaft may be removed from between the dies and inspected.

A compact electric motor construction employing fluid bearings for use in a disk drive apparatus includes a spindle having a shaft and a thrust plate and a hub assembly including a hub having an outer disk support portion with an inner thrust bearing surface located axially above the upper thrust bearing surface of the thrust plate. The hub also includes an inner sleeve which substantially surrounds the shaft and provides an air gap between its inner diameter and the outer diameter of the thrust plate. The air gap is vented to the interior of the motor cavity by vent passages. Transition grooves are provided on bearing surfaces adjacent all fluid seal zones for controlling the migration of bearing fluid in a radial direction and for providing a low fluid pressure region adjacent capillary seals at the ends of the shaft to contain the seal and prevent leakage.

A construction for an electric spindle motor includes a stationary central shaft with a horizontal thrust bearing plate and a rotating hub assembly. A flanged thrust bearing ring having an upper capillary surface is affixed to the hub assembly. An annular end cap having a lower capillary surface is nested within the flanged bearing ring. The upper and lower capillary surfaces are radially outwardly diverging horizontal surfaces relative to each other which define a capillary cavity. Lubricating fluid partially fills the capillary cavity to form a horizontal capillary seal which prevents the fluid from escaping the motor. The capillary seal may be formed by tapering either the upper or lower capillary surfaces to provide an enlargement of the bearing cavity in an axial direction radially outwardly from the central shaft. Alternatively, the capillary seal may be formed by substantially coating the upper and lower capillary surfaces with a barrier coating to increase surface tension. Additional capillary seals may also be included in the invention. Vents, undercuts, and groove patterns may be included to further prevent fluid from escaping the motor.
