An improved method for managing advertising campaigns is provided. The method includes defining an advertising campaign, uploading a multi-media file of each member of the campaign; linking each of the multi-media files of the advertisements and associating the media files with a data capture template based on the media type; configuring the scheduling and promotion details for display of the media ad; associating survey questions with respondent incentives; calculating the present cost of the campaign; capturing consumer responses to individual members of the campaign; aggregating and analyzing the cumulative responses; making program adjustments to the type, location, and schedule for the campaign members based on these real-time results; and transmitting the revised campaign management instructions and adjusted media files to remote systems at the media channels thereby optimizing in real-time the overall ad campaign.

System and method for management and optimization of off-line advertising campaigns with a consumer call to action

A simplified method of recordkeeping is provided. The method includes capturing a document image of a transaction document; identifying a document type of the transaction document; associating the document image with a data capture template based on the document type; transmitting the document image and the data capture template to a remote system; extracting record data from the document image based on the document type; and populating the data capture template with the record data.

The predetermined operations include detecting an availability of a proximal network; automatically establishing a connection with the at least one remote storage device based on the availability of the proximal network; automatically recognizing a data type of a data file stored on the single device; associating routing information with the data file based on the data type; and automatically uploading the data file from the single device to the remote storage device based on the routing information.

System and method for real-time management and optimization of off-line advertising campaigns

A method and system for performing instruction of handwriting skills by animated display of the required stroke motions with simultaneous audio verbal description of these same motions, including the means for a student to practice this lesson with use of a pen based input device by which the pen motion is captured, displayed on a computer monitor, and communicated to an evaluation algorithm which rates the quality of the writing. Based on this handwriting evaluation, the system includes means to provide visual and auditory reward, and generate the subsequent instructions and exercise for the student using embedded expert teaching knowledge. In the preferred embodiment, a tablet with a fastening mechanism fixes into position the paper duplicate of the handwriting lesson presented on the computer screen and the pen writing device is a special ballpoint pen capable of leaving a hard copy trace of the student writing.

Pen based computer handwriting instruction

A laser-based optical inspection system is provided for detecting and measuring surface imperfections and warpage conditions in an optical information storage disk either during its manufacture or afterwards. The optical inspection system includes a light source, a rotatable mirror for directing a source beam from the light source along a radial line on the surface of the disk, a convex lens positioned between the mirror and the disk for focusing the source beam at the surface of said disk, and a photodetector for registering a beam being reflected from the surface of said disk, such that the reflected beam is indicative of surface imperfections in said disk. In addition, an electronic processor and controller are connected to the photodetector for processing its registered beam signals and for determining if the disk surface imperfections exceeds specified tolerances. Furthermore, the processor may be used to control other system components, including the light source, the actuator device for rotating the mirror, and the drive motor for rotating the disk during the inspection process. These results about the warpage and any surface imperfection of the disk can be displayed on the monitor of the computer to inform the machine operator as well as sent to other related manufacturing machines for further usage.
