In one example, a platform lift includes a rotationally stationary leadscrew to support a platform, a rotatable nut to drive the leadscrew up and down through a range of motion, a first spring to apply a continuous downward force to the leadscrew throughout the range of motion, and a second spring to apply a continuous upward force to the leadscrew throughout the range of motion.

A skateboard truck that is adjusted for different amounts of torsional stiffness. The axle of the truck is tensioned to change the torsional stiffness of the truck. The truck includes a fork shaped structural arm having tongs on the distal end. The ends of the tongs include mounting for the axle which supports the wheels. The tension in the axle determines the amount of torsional stiffness. Additionally, the distance between the wheels is adjustable to affect the torsional stiffness.

Variable torsion skateboard truck apparatus and method of adjustment

A media retraction system includes a loadstop shaft rotatable about an axis thereof, and a loadstop paddle rotatably coupled with and slidably mounted on the loadstop shaft such that the loadstop paddle is slidable about the axis of the loadstop shaft.

An example system includes a pressure plate actuating portion. The pressure plate actuating portion includes a cam gear coupled to a cam arm and a pressure plate arranged to be driven by the cam arm as the cam arm rotates with the cam gear through a pick-up cycle, the pressure plate being biased in a first direction toward the cam arm with a pressure plate spring. The example system also includes a pressure plate release control portion, the pressure plate release control portion being arranged to transfer potential energy from the pressure plate spring in a gradual manner.

The device pertains to providing a vertically compliant rear truck for a skateboard. This truck provides a truck axle which allows only a single vertical compliance and a single rotational compliance. This provides stability a high speeds and compliance for steering and 'pumping' the skateboard.

One embodiment of a method for refurbishing a web cartridge includes separating a web extending between first and second spools from the first spool and winding the separated web onto the second spool. The first and second spools are removed from a housing. A replacement first spool having a replacement web is obtained, and an end of the replacement is fed web through a web guide. A portion of the replacement web is then affixed to a replacement second spool.

Methods for refurbishing a web cartridge

A print spittoon is removably mounted in a slot of a print support to periodically receive drops of liquid spit from a printhead. Among other features, the spittoon includes a portion of an absorbent sheet provided a location recessed from a surface of the print support.
