A device for Controlling pressure is disclosed which comprises a pump () having opposed pistons () which reciprocate in cylinders () carried by a casing (). The pistons () are at the outer ends of rings () which are themselves fitted to an eccentric (). The eccentric () is integral with a clutch plate (). A second clutch plate () is fixed to a non-rotating axle () which itself forms part of a hanging counterweight structure (). A piston () pushes the eccentric and clutch plate () against the clutch plate () thereby to prevent the eccentric () tire from rotating with the rings () upon a sensor detecting that a tire has a low pressure in it. Stopping the eccentric initiates the pumping action of the pistons ().

Device for controlling the pressure in a vehicle tyre

An ozone-based disinfecting device is provided comprising a mixer having a generally hollow body with a water inlet for water under pressure, a spray nozzle for generating a generally conical spray of water introduced by way of the water inlet, a contact chamber communicating with a gas inlet for ozone rich gases, and an outlet aperture from the contact chamber that is coaxial with the spray nozzle and spaced apart therefrom. An electronic flow sensing device senses the extent of the flow of water through the spray nozzle according to vibration caused by water flowing through the mixer. The electronic flow sensing device is preferably located in a pocket formed in the mixer and preferably comprises a piezoelectric sensor embedded at least around its periphery in a settable material. A preferred construction of the mixer is also described.

Ozone-based disinfecting device comprising a flow sensor

An ozone-based disinfecting device is provided comprising a mixer () having a generally hollow body with a water inlet for water under pressure, a spray nozzle () for generating a generally conical spray of water introduced by way of the water inlet, a contact chamber () communicating with a gas inlet () for ozone rich gases, and an outlet aperture () from the contact chamber. The outlet aperture is coaxial with the spray nozzle and axially spaced apart therefrom. The diameter of the outlet aperture corresponds substantially to the diameter of the conical spray at that position so that substantially no free space exists between the outside of the conical spray and the periphery of the outlet, in use. The contact chamber generally has a larger cross-sectional size than the diameter of the outlet aperture.

Ozone-based disinfecting device and mixer therefor

A miniaturized fluid dispensing system for dispensing customized fluids. The dispenser may include first and second reservoirs containing constituent fluids; a drive motor; at least two pump assemblies commonly driven by the drive motor and in communication with the first and second reservoirs; first and second valve assembly in communication with the first and second pump assemblies; and a control system for selectively controlling the valve assemblies to blend and discharge a composition from the constituent fluids. The system may include a dispensing header to house the valves and to define 'discharge' and 'recirculation' flow paths for each constituent fluid. The present invention also provides a method for dispensing a fluid regimen (e.g. a plurality of compositions) by periodically blending and discharging varying compositions over time.

Method and apparatus for dispensing fluid compositions

A miniature hydro-power generation system includes an outer housing and an inner housing. The outer housing may receive a flow of liquid flowing in a first direction at a predetermined range of pressure. The flow of liquid may be decreased by a predetermined amount of pressure and increased by a predetermined amount of velocity and channeled to a hydro-generator included in the inner housing with an inlet nozzle. The flow of liquid may be channeled with the inlet nozzle to flow in a second direction that is substantially perpendicular to the first direction. Upon transfer of kinetic energy in the flow of liquid to the hydro-generator, the inner housing may rotate in the second direction. The flow of liquid may then be channeled back to the first direction and out of the housing with an outlet nozzle. The outlet nozzle configured to increase the pressure and decrease the velocity of the flow of liquid to minimized non-laminar flow characteristics.
