Voltage sensor () comprising a voltage divider () for sensing an AC voltage of a HV/MV power conductor (). For adjusting the common overall impedance of the low-voltage portion of the voltage divider towards a desired impedance, the low-voltage portion () comprises one or more low-voltage impedance elements (), a plurality of adjustment impedance elements () and a plurality of switches. In its connect state, each switch electrically connects an adjustment impedance element in parallel to at least one of the one or more low-voltage impedance elements (). The overall impedance of the high-voltage portion () and the overall impedance of the low-voltage portion () of the voltage divider () are adapted such that, by bringing one or more of the switches () into their connect state, the voltage divider () has, for an AC voltage of between 5 and 25 kV phase-to-ground and a frequency of between 40 and 70 Hertz, a dividing ratio of 3077, of 6154, of 6769 or of 10 000.

Adjustable voltage sensor

A sensored insulation plug for a separable connector in a MV/HV power distribution network of a national grid, operable to sense the MV/HV elevated voltage. The sensored insulation plug includes a plug body formed by a solidified insulating material, a contact piece, and a discrete coupling capacitor embedded in the insulating material and operable to harvest energy from the elevated voltage of the contact piece and optionally operable to superimpose a communication voltage signal over the elevated voltage. The sensored insulation plug further includes an integrated sensing capacitor, operable as a high-voltage capacitor in a sensing voltage divider for sensing the elevated voltage. The sensing capacitor comprises a high-voltage electrode comprising the coupling electrode and the contact piece, a tubular sensing electrode, and a dielectric comprising a portion of the insulating material.

Sensored insulation plug

Elastic sleeve () for electrically insulating a HV/MV power conductor in a power network, comprising a) a shrinkable or expandable elastic sleeve body (); b) a receiving space () in the sleeve body, for receiving the power conductor; c) a cavity () formed in the sleeve body; and d) a divider assembly (), arranged, at least partially, in the cavity and comprising a plurality of discrete impedance elements, operable as a voltage divider for sensing a voltage of an inner conductor of the power conductor.

The invention relates to a voltage sensing device () for a high and/or medium voltage power carrying conductor (), the voltage sensing device comprising: a radially outer electrode () operable as a first sensing electrode of a sensing capacitor for sensing the voltage of the power carrying conductor; a radially inner electrode () operable as a second sensing electrode of the sensing capacitor; a dielectric material () arranged between the inner and the outer electrode (), wherein the coefficient of thermal expansion of the material of at least one electrode () is selected such that it compensates the temperature dependent parameters of the dielectric material () and/or the other electrode (), that influences the capacity of the voltage sensing capacitor.

Voltage sensor () for a high- or medium-voltage power-carrying conductor for a power network, such as an inner conductor of a power cable or a cable connector or a bus bar. The voltage sensor has a tubular shape and an axial passageway (), which can receive the conductor. The voltage sensing device comprises a) a radially-inner electrode (), operable as a first sensing electrode of a sensing capacitor for sensing the voltage of the power-carrying conductor, b) a radially-outer electrode (), operable as a second sensing electrode of the sensing capacitor, and c) a solid carrier element (), at least a first portion of which is arranged between the inner electrode and the outer electrode, the first portion being operable as a dielectric of the sensing capacitor. The sensor can be accommodated in a cable accessory. The carrier element may comprise ceramic material to increase accuracy.

Voltage Sensor

Cable connection device for connecting a power cable to an electrical installation of a power network, comprising a conductor element having a first end portion, a second end portion, and a middle portion disposed between the first and the second end portion. The conductor element comprises a connector socket arranged at the first end portion, for mating with a cable plug. The connector socket is integrally formed with the middle portion.

Closure for measuring voltage on power-carrying conductors

A conductor assembly for a power network includes an inner conductor defining radial and axial directions, an insulating layer arranged around at least an axial section of the inner conductor, and a sensing electrode arranged radially outward of the insulating layer. The sensing electrode is operable as a first electrode of a sensing capacitor of a capacitive voltage sensor, in which sensing capacitor the inner conductor is operable as a second electrode. The conductor assembly further includes an electrically insulating spacer element arranged radially between the insulating layer and the sensing electrode.

Conductor assembly

A conductor assembly for a power network includes an inner conductor, an insulating layer arranged concentrically around the inner conductor, and a sensing electrode, arranged radially outward of the insulating layer, and operable as a first electrode of a sensing capacitor of a voltage sensor. The conductor assembly further includes a voltage pickup element having electrically conductive major surfaces, the first major surface being in a surface contact with the sensing electrode. The conductor assembly further includes an electrode wire, in electrical and mechanical contact with the voltage pickup element, for electrically connecting the voltage pickup element with an electric or electronic component disposed remote from the sensing electrode.

A terminal connection device comprises a contiguous body disposed onto an inner conductor. The inner conductor includes a first end mateable with a power cable connector and a second end. The body comprises a multilayer structure having an inner conductive or semiconductive layer disposed over at least a portion of the power cable connector, an insulating layer and an outer conductive or semiconductive layer. The body surrounds the first end of the inner conductor and extending towards the second end of the inner conductor. The body can also include an electrically isolated section of conductive or semiconductive material. The terminal connection device can be a fully integrated structure, having a pre-installed connection interface, or the terminal connection device can be configured as an adapter which can be mounted in the field to a connection interface.
