An induction heating assembly for an aerosol generating device includes a heating chamber for receiving, in use, an aerosol generating article, and an induction coil assembly. The induction coil assembly substantially surrounds the heating chamber and includes an electrically insulating layer and an electrically conductive track. The induction coil assembly has a substantially tubular construction and at least part of the induction coil assembly overlaps with another part of the induction coil assembly in an axial direction.

An electronic vapour inhaler includes a chamber configured so that a user can place a cartridge into said chamber, an induction coil arranged to extend around the chamber, a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature inside the chamber, and a control arrangement arranged to control operation of the induction coil based on the temperature measured by the temperature sensor to maintain a predetermined temperature inside the chamber.

An induction heating assembly for a vapour generating device includes an induction heating device and an electronic component having material able to act as a first susceptor, wherein the induction heating device is arranged to heat, in use, a second susceptor for a first period, and the electronic component is arranged to be activated for a second period, and wherein the first period and the second period are non-concurrent. This achieves reduced interference in the functionality of the electronic component.

A method is provided for operating an electronic vapour inhaler comprising an induction heating arrangement, the induction heating arrangement comprising an induction coil for generating an alternating electromagnetic field to heat an induction heatable element and thereby heat a non-liquid flavour-release medium. The method comprises intermittently energising the induction coil to generate an intermittent alternating electromagnetic field which provides pulsed heating and cooling of the induction heatable element.
