A polymer composition comprising: at least one polycondensation polymer having a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of above 80&#xb0; C. under a load of 1.82 MPa when measured according to ASTM D648 [polymer (P)]; at least one perfluoropolyether block copolymer [polymer (F)] comprising: A) one or more (per)fluoropolyoxyalkylene segment (chain R) comprising recurring units having at least one catenary ether bond and at least one fluorocarbon moiety, and B) one or more polyalkylene segment (chain R) comprising recurring units of formula: &#x2014;(CRR&#x2014;CRR)&#x2014;; wherein R, R, R, R, equal to or different from each other, are selected from the group consisting of H, halogens; C-C(hydro)carbon groups, optionally containing fluorine or other heteroatoms, to a process for its manufacture and to its use for manufacturing shaped articles, in particular by extrusion molding or injection molding techniques.

The present invention provides a nonwoven web prepared from an aliphatic polyester polymer which has sufficient tear strength and is biodegradable. Biodegradable nonwoven webs of the present are prepared from a polymer blend having from about 65% by weight to about 99% by weight of a biodegradable aliphatic polyester polymer and from about 1% by weight to about 35% by weight of a second polymer selected from the group consisting of a polymer having a lower melting point than the biodegradable aliphatic polyester polymer, a polymer having a lower molecular weight than the biodegradable aliphatic polyester polymer and mixtures thereof. Surprisingly, the nonwoven webs of the present invention have a tear strength greater than the tear strength of a nonwoven web prepared from the biodegradable aliphatic polyester polymer alone. In addition, other properties of the resulting nonwoven web, such as the tensile strength and energy to break, are not adversely affected, by the addition of the second polymer, in ways that make the resulting nonwoven web unusable for its intended purpose.

An improved process employing a supported, platinum-containing, crystalline, silicate molecular sieve catalyst composition effective in removing ethylbenzene from unextracted xylene feeds during isomerization, primarily by hydrodeethylation, and also the primarily C.sub.9 paraffins and naphthenes. Choosing (1) a set of process conditions within narrow ranges of temperature T, total pressure P, and hydrogen to hydrocarbon mol ratio H/HC such that Z, which is defined as a function of T, P and H/HC, is less than about 0.01, and (2) a platinum-containing catalyst composition, greatly reduces the feed C.sub.9 paraffins and naphthenes content during isomerization, removes most of the ethylbenzene by hydrodeethylation to ethane and benzene, and minimizes xylene loss to hydrogenation and cracking, all without substantially changing the excellent isomerization properties of the sieve catalyst composition.

Described are catalyst mixtures comprising a HAMS-1B crystalline borosilicate molecular sieve incorporated into an inorganic matrix component and a molybdenum on silica component.
