A die casting system includes a die, a shot tube, a melting system and a vacuum system. The die includes a plurality of die components that define a die cavity. The shot tube is in fluid communication with the die cavity and is operable to deliver a charge of material to the die cavity. The melting system is positioned adjacent to the die and includes an alloy loader, a melting unit and a crucible. The vacuum system defines a first chamber and a second chamber separated from the first chamber by an isolation valve. The melting system is disposed within the first chamber, and the die is disposed within the second chamber.

A method for controlling a temperature of a portion of a die casting system having a shot tube plunger, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, communicating a fluid through a fluid inlet of a fluid passageway of a thermal control scheme of the shot tube plunger. The fluid circulates through the fluid passageway of the thermal control scheme to selectively adjust a temperature of the shot tube plunger. The fluid is discharged through a fluid outlet of the fluid passageway.

An improved device for testing electrical circuit tracings on a printed circuit board is provided. The device includes a first plate, a second plate and connecting elements for connecting the first and second plates to one another, such that one or both of the plates can be moved relative to one another such that one or both of the plates can be moved relative to the other between a distal position wherein the plates are distal to one another and a proximal plate position wherein the plates are proximal to one another. The device further includes retaining device, which preferably is a pull-out tray, for retaining a printed circuit board between and substantially parallel to the first and second plates and a plurality of test probes disposed either above the retaining device and/or below the retaining device. The test probes are disposed so as to contact a trace on a circuit board being tested when that circuit board is disposed on the retaining device and when the plates are in the proximal plate position. The connecting elements include a motor operatively connected to at least one of the plates by a pair of horizontally slidable cam bars which are attached to at least one of the plates by a cam follower connection. By this configuration, the operation of the motor causes movement of at least one of the plates between the distal and proximal plate positions.

A top for attachment to the frame of a boat is comprised of at least one panel member having a plurality of T-tracks arranged in spaced apart generally rectangular orientation. At least one body member is adapted to slide along each T-track and has a brake for inhibition of the sliding action. An adapter clip is attached to each body member for removable attachment of the top to the frame and additional adapter clips can be attached directly to the top for further attachment of the top to the frame.

The flyer of the present invention comprises an upper main disk and a lower ring made from lightweight sheet material. The upper main disk and lower ring connect via an attachment element. Design, construction and assembly of the flyer of the present invention produce a stable flyer; when thrown flat, the flyer flies flat. Design, construction and assembly reduce or eliminate veering, an inherent characteristic of other common flyers. Distinguishing flight features of the flyer of the present invention arise where the design and construction of the flyer include a main disk and a lower ring separated by the attachment element, usually cut from the upper main disk and lower ring. Action between air and the upper main disk, lower ring and attachment means produce desirable flight features.
