A mesh network adapter is designed to communicate with a camera, and is configured to form a mesh node in a wireless mesh network. The network adapter includes housing, a microprocessor, a transceiver, a non-volatile onboard data storage medium, and an elongate flexible extension cable. The flexible cable is operatively connected to the microprocessor at the camera end, and interfaces with the onboard data storage medium and a removable memory card. The microprocessor functions to control the transfer of image data from the camera through the flexible cable to the removable memory card, and from the removable memory card to the onboard data storage medium for subsequent wireless transmission to a gateway within the mesh network.

A method for processing algae-based products using flue gas heat includes mixing flue gas with water, receiving a heated gas in a first enclosure of a heat exchanger, receiving an algal paste in a second enclosure of the heat exchanger, introducing an organic solvent to the algal paste, extracting an algal oil and a plurality of algal shells from the algal paste by dissipating heat from the first enclosure to the second enclosure; and extracting the algal oil from the organic solvent and the algal shells.

A method for manufacturing an algal oil based bio-lubricant includes selecting a base algae strain with a fatty acid profile that includes oleic acid, introducing the base algae strain to a flue gas recycling system, introducing a lipid trigger to the flue gas recycling system to enhance the lipid production efficiency of the algae, harvesting the algae, extracting an algal oil from the algae that is more than 40% oleic acid, and converting the algal oil into bio-lubricant using chemical modification and/or the incorporation of stabilizing additives.

A system for converting flue gas into useable bio-oil based compounds using algae comprises a grow tank enclosing multiple processing cells wherein each cell incorporates light emitting columns and a moveable grate to stir the algae and nutrients, and a flue gas distribution system configured to cool the flue gas, mix the gas with water, adjust the pH of the water, add nutrients&#x2014;including a lipid trigger&#x2014;to the water, and distribute the water to the processing cells through bubblers.
