The seat bottom is movable between an upper position such that the front and rear end portions are at respective first positions, and a lowered position such that the first and rear end portions are at respective second positions. The front end portion moves downwardly a greater distance from its respective first to second position than the distance the rear end portion moves from its respective first to the second position when the seat bottom is moved from its upper position to its lowered position. The seat can further include a seat back ( ) pivotally connected to the seat bottom ( ) such that the seat back is movable to a generally horizontal position. A pair of seats ( ) can be incorporated into a vehicle interior ( ) to define front ( ) and rear ( ) seats. The front seat ( ) has a panel ( ) pivotally attached to the seat back ( ) of the front seat ( ). The panel ( ) is movable to a horizontal position such that the panel extends from the front seat back to the rear seat to bridge a gap between the seat backs of the front and rear seats when in their respective forward positions. Seat structure for vehicle

A vehicle seat includes a console pivotally mounted on a seat back and a booster seat movable between a stowed positioned and an upright position. The seat includes a seat bottom having first and second portions which define a generally horizontal seating surface. A console is selectively disposed in a recess formed in one of the first and second portions. A first side of the console defines a console seating surface. The console is pivotable between a first position, wherein the console seating surface is generally co-planar with the seating surface of the first and second portions, and a second position, wherein the console is pivoted outwardly from a front edge exposing the second side of the console. A second recess is formed in the seating surface of the seat bottom between the front and rear edges to define a second rear support area located between the rear edge and the second recess. The booster seat is movable between a first position, wherein the booster seat is disposed in the second recess such that a seating surface of the booster seat is generally co-planar with the seating surface of the seat bottom, and a second position, wherein the booster seat is positioned above the rear support area.

Vehicle seat

A seat system for a passenger vehicle includes a foldable rear seat and a foldable front seat. The rear seat includes a removable seat bottom and a forwardly folding seat back. An approximately horizontal rear support surface is formed by a surface of the rear seat back when the rear seat back is folded forward. The front seat includes a seat bottom and a forwardly folding seat back. An approximately horizontal front support surface is formed by a surface of the front seat back when the front seat back is folded forward. An extended support surface is formed by the rear support surface and the front support surface. If desired, the front seat can be mounted on a track assembly so that the front and rear support surfaces can be placed in close proximity to each other. If desired, a workstation can be formed in the front support surface.
