A removable storage system is disclosed having a storage receptacle, a plurality of tabs connected to the receptacle, and a plurality of receiving openings integral with an interior member of a vehicle for receiving the tabs and retaining the receptacle. The tabs further may consist of grooves culminating in channels.

Removable storage system

A vehicle storage compartment includes a door hingedly mounted thereon, with a hold-open device integrally molded on the door and in the storage compartment. The hold-open device includes a substantially one-fourth circle cam molded on an inner surface of the door, and a flex finger molded on an upper surface of the storage compartment. The flex finger serves to hold the door open until manually forced downwardly, thereby bending the flex finger while the cam moves therepast to allow the door to be closed.

A vehicle storage compartment includes a door hingedly mounted thereon, with a latch assembly mounted on the door and cooperable with a latch opening in the storage compartment. The latch assembly includes a mounting bracket and a handle interconnected by a pair of flexible straps, a latch extension formed on the handle, an opening formed in the mounting bracket, and a latch spring having a fixed end secured to an edge of the opening, and a downward bend portion extending from the fixed end to a free distal end, adapted to contact a fixed surface and become compressed when the door is closed to prevent the door from rattling under vehicle operation.
